How to prepare in the week preceding a half marathon?

Has anyone got any tips on what I should do in the week running up to doing a half marathon? I ran 12 miles today in 2 hours, which was comfortable; I think I can run faster.

How much running should I do between now and the race next weekend? Should I be practising/building stamina/aiming to run faster or should I be taking it easy and preserving energy?

And what about food? Should I aim to eat healthily all week or eating energy or carb-loading?

Any advice most welcome Smile

There was a good bit in this months Womens Running on last minute preparation.

This week, you should just do short runs, then rest the day before. Eat healthily this week, then a bit more carbs the day before and in the morning.

My half marathon is on the 15th - good luck for yours!
