Where shall I start?!

I'm doing a 5K military assault course to raise money for SANDS in two months...initially I thought I'd be fine...but the closer I get to D-Day, the more I think I should be doing something to prepare myself!

I don't do any regular exercise at the moment, but I do walk a lot...and I've got a bike...

Any recommendations on something I could do to be a little more prepared?!

Couch to 5k would help. It's a 9week plan that says on the tin what it is. Gets complete beginners into running a 5k!

My sister has done this...I could give it a go! I think she quite enjoyed it Smile

I'm not a natural runner though (tend to avoid running...even when late for the train etc!)

I can assure u this builds you up niiiiiice and slowly. 3 sessions a week. Think they start at 30 minutes but alternate a run/jog with walking Smile

For a military style assault course you're going to have to work on your arm strength -push ups and tricep dips are the best way.
