Some friends and I are doing the Shine night time walking marathon at the end of September, and it's really starting to worry me that I should have done some actual training for it.
I'm fairly fit, I run a couple of times a week and do 1 or 2 kettle bell sessions, in term time I do walk at least 4 miles a day just doing school runs and I work mostly on my feet. But whilst I'm thinking this is a decent base maybe I should really get some proper training in? But then I don't really have a lot of spare time for fitting in 15/20 mile walks.
Has anyone done one before, do you think I could get away with just winging it and sucking up the pain of recovery after?
