If you're using the NHS podcast then it comes with its own extra-special music Grin

If you're using one of the apps where you can choose your own music, then these are some of my favourites-

Blur- Parklife
James- Sit Down
Any of Elvis Costello's more upbeat tracks
The Cure- Just Like Heaven
Huey Lewis and the News- Hip to be Square

Don't put anything too fast on there, it'll make you think you're Jessica Ennis and you'll run out of puff. Slow and steady wins the race! Best of luck and enjoy it, I graduated earlier this year; it really works!

Keane's "Everybody's Changing" starts with a fab intro beat that gets me running at just the right pace, not too fast and not too slow.

I also really like the Chemical Brothers' "Galvanize". Perfect for that "I want to give up" moment. No! Galvanize!

Biffy Clyro "I am a Mountain" also has a ploddy beat.

And Daft Punk "One More Time". Good one to finish on, get a bit of a sprint on.

My running companion has been Olly Murrs. He's really spurred me on.

I downloaded 'Now that's what I call running'. Has some alright songs on it and some crap, I'm starting to like some of the crap now though.

I downloaded 5k runner for free which lets you use your own music. I did listen to the NHS one but knew I would struggle to keep at it with that music!

Did my first run tonight and quite enjoyed it even though I found it quite hard going at times. Didn't help that some of the route was slightly hilly!

I got the now running soundtrack (thanks for that suggestion)! Also a bit of David guetta and dannii minogue! Don't you forget about me is a surprisingly good track to do the power walk/run to (honest!). Need to get a proper playlist organised for next time though, was a bit rushed today.

Any more suggestions welcome (especially 80s stuff!) Grin

Using the get running App (suggested here), with shuffle

The NHS app has slightly weird music, true, but it is well thought out to spur you in, speed you up and then slow down and recover at the right times.
