Just interested really!

Ideally it would be about 7am, but my DH moans if I wake him up early and if I get up then the DDs wake up, and by the time I've sorted them out it's 8am and I get caught up in the school run. So usually I go about 9am which is OK most of the time, but not in this hot weather.

I have been in the evening a couple of times which is nice, but my DDs don't always go to bed at a decent time.

Like EauRouge in term time I go after the school run which is perfect for me, but holidays mean I have to do evenings when dh is home, and the weather has just been too hot for that. Weekends I try and do one early run, about 7:30-8ish. I'm not enough of a morning person, if at all, to try and go at 6ish before dh leaves!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/08/2013 16:56

In the evening. I'm on holiday at the moment, but usually leave the house around 7-ish for work and don't get back until 5.30-ish at least, so will go around 6.30-ish. The problem then is it means we don't eat until 8 or so.

CMOTDibbler · 02/08/2013 21:42

If dh is taking ds to school, then I do my overnight emails (they leave at 7.40) then go out at 8 or 8.15. If I'm on school run, then I go at lunchtime or after ds goes to bed - 7.30.

My long run at the weekend is either Sunday morning or late in the afternoon

Poppy4453 · 03/08/2013 06:50

I run in the evening, as soon as dh comes home, 6.30- 7.30.
Term time I run after school run.

partyondude · 03/08/2013 06:55

Either run before work at 7.30am or after the kids are in bed after 8pm.

WeAll · 03/08/2013 06:56

Evenings. In the summer, 9ish. Winter, after dinner, 6ish.

dyslexicdespot · 03/08/2013 06:57

I prefer running early in the morning, but I have to wait until DS is awake and BF. avoiding the school run is my main priority!

TheFallenNinja · 03/08/2013 07:05

I prefer mornings but generally evenings are better.

I just got a treadmill which opens up mid afternoon when DD naps.

mercury7 · 04/08/2013 20:28

late lunch time in the gym when it's quiet and air conditioned

marrythomas · 05/08/2013 12:02

I usually run in the morning and that's kept my body fit.

Knackerelli · 05/08/2013 21:49

Normally it's after putting DC's to bed so 7:30ish. Not ideal after a manic day but leave for work at 6:45 so can't fit one in beforehand. Currently though on holiday ( yeah! ) so early afternoon.

RaRaZ · 06/08/2013 12:54

Hello! I'm new on this bit of the forum, but came looking for fellow fitness freaks... Grin

I vary. Mostly late afternoon/in the evening at the moment as I do trail running and don't want to get too hot. Time comes forward a lot in the winter though as I'm not a fan of running through deserted woodland in the dark!

ThursdayLast · 07/08/2013 17:43

Usually about 6pm when DP takes over for DS evening feed. Ideal for now while its still light, and gives me something to look forward to throughout the day!
Nearly time now...
(My twenty something self would piss herself laughing if she thought that one dy she would LOOK FORWARD to going for a run!)

Arisbottle · 07/08/2013 17:45

I rotate
Day 1 5 am
Day 2 I run to work so 6:30 am
Day 3 run home from work so 6pm

BlueChampagne · 09/08/2013 13:48

Ideally after work, starting 4.30 or 5pm. Can't run before breakfast - makes me feel ill. I'm a trail runner like RaRaZ so I'll have to move to lunchtimes in winter.

lesleyb1990 · 09/08/2013 13:50

Usually after work which for me is at least 7pm

IsThatTrue · 09/08/2013 13:57

Mornings or evenings. I prefer mornings but seem to have better endurance in the evenings Confused

Grumpywino · 11/08/2013 12:21

At the start of my day, time depends on what shift I am on, but before food or I have to wait a good three hours. Either a decent length run and/or Insanity or similar. On a day off running is first thing, and other exercise is later on the same day.

sarahandduck · 11/08/2013 19:25

Always first thing, so around 6.30/7am....and always on an empty stomach.

lurkingfromhome · 12/08/2013 15:13

First thing-ish, ie before I have time to change my mind or find reasons not to go. Usually have half a cup of tea and a cereal bar when I get up and go out a bit after that. I don't trust myself to still have willpower as the day goes on and all sorts of distractions arise!

Lotsofcoffee · 14/08/2013 15:31

Morning for me ? right before work and getting the kids ready for school! Makes me feel refreshed and energised for the rest of the day!

emma123456 · 23/08/2013 23:12

Morning runners. .do you eat first?
