Windsurfit kit - anyone know owt about it?

My DD (14) enjoys windsurfing and the instructors are encouraging us to get her some kit of her own now. We will probably have to continue using the club boards (mostly Mistral) as there's no storage for non-club kit and I can't see how we'd manage to transport a board. But a rig should be doable.
I have no idea what to look for - she's 5" and probably won't grow more than an inch or so which means we're not sure if an adult rig would be suitable. She currently uses junior rigs - 4.0 usually, 3.5 in stronger winds but sometimes would like to go a bit higher but finds the booms on the bigger rigs wont go low enough.

Anyone got windsurfing kids with any ideas?

Can't her instructors give her/you guidance on what to get? When ds needed new golf clubs his pro researched and emailed me a link to a shop so I knew what to get and knew they were the best price.

Yes - one of them is keeping his eye out but I think there's some hope that I might try looking myself and see if I could find something I could then get him to check out, and I'm pretty clueless about what might be good or rubbish. I thought I'd ask here specifically in case there's someone with a similar sized child who knows what works for them. The club has various sizes of junior and adult rigs which is great but I'd like to get something which works with a few different sail sizes and is appropriate for someone who's maybe a bit big for 'junior' but a bit small for full adult size.

I'm another person suprised that her instructors are not able to recommend kit for her. Is she racing? Is she a member of a T15 club?

I just use club kit ( standard battoned 4.5 or 5 m sail becaus it's very windy where I windsurf ) So I'm no expert, but I ve had any trouble getting the boom low enough and I'm only 4 " taller than her. Is she adjusting her harness lines correctly ?

They can but I'm trying to get a bit more clued up myself and sometimes on MN there will be a parent with direct experience

im 5 ft 2 and i want to sell my rig!!! i have a wide style funboard (bic nova) and a tushingham mustang sail (5,2). mast is carbon fibre and theres a mast extension......since having ds i cant see me using it again to be honest. all bought new in 2005 aprox. good condition. i wont sell the bouyny aid/ wetsuit as theyd need to be new now.xx it is a big sail...but if i can handle it and im a weed......doesnt need a huge breeze to feel like youre flying along, so good for speed! im in norfolk.x

tushingham mustang sail is designed for the shorter adult as i always struggled with the boom being too high. mustang is perfect height (i`m 5 ft 2). my full kit is for sale........its blue as my board is blue.x
