Just had to change my outfit plans as my trousers don't fit! Not happy. Fortunately my training programme for 5km race starts today. Hoping to finish in 28 minutes or less so lots of cardio to do between now and 21st July. And, I didn't have a chocolate bar or cake yesterday (been VERY naughty on the food front recently). Wish me luck!

Good luck!!

Just can't seem to get my 5k time down to under 32/33 mins!

Got my first official sub-30 a couple of weeks ago. 29:45! That was with two huge hills though so wasn't too upset.
Hill and speed work can help shave valuable minutes off your time.

I'm starting a new 5k plan on thursday, my PB is 31:06 so I'm going to be doing loads of speedwork to get it under 30mins.

Theres a really good feature in runners world this month on 5ks and how to go faster.

Good luck

I have a trainer and go to running club, but it's low progress still

We do hill work, she did say it would help me improve. Going to try park run after race for life on Sunday.

And she's a big fan of sprints. I try!!

Remember in Race for Life you may not start as fast as you'd like if you're not at the front.
