I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Loved it! Has changed the way I think about running. It's a great read for anyone, even better for runners of any description. Very interesting.

Fantastic and inspirational. Also started me along the path of minimalist running shoes /barefoot running

CoteDAzur · 06/02/2013 08:24

I'm totally inspired to chuck out my super-cushioned Nikes and find some minimalist shoes to run in Smile

Hilarious in parts, too. I laughed out loud when reading about Jen giving herself a black eye and crashing a wedding party in her bra on the night before the race Grin

Love it! I've read it a few times now and have recommended it to others. I don't do barefoot, but I bought more lightweight trainers and started running with a forefoot strike instead of a heel strike, which seemed to get rid of a niggling foot injury.

I didnt think the book was especially interesting or usefull but I do run in vibrams

CoteDAzur · 06/02/2013 21:44

How do you like running in Vibrams?

Did you go straight from cushioned running shoes to Vibrams or did you transition with slightly thicker shoes?

I'm reading that it might be an idea to give Nike Frees a go before I start running with "barefoot shoes" like Vibrams.

Cote, I only got into running after I got the vibrams and have only run in them so I dont have any experience with conventional running shoes to compare.

I've not had any problems, been doing it for a year or so, around 25 miles per week, all on the treadmill (
