... and I'm so proud of myself that I just want to stand on a chair and shout it to everyone.

I ran the whole way without stopping including some pretty nasty hills and finished in 2:18.46. Everage min/mile pace was 10.35 which is almost a minute quicker than my training runs.

I feel like a real runner now Smile

Well done you! That's a fantastic achievement!

IrritaGirl · 15/10/2012 10:17

well done!! You should feel really proud of yourself Smile

shrimponastick · 15/10/2012 10:24

Brilliant!!!
Great time too

I ran my first half in May. Cannot ever envisage running a marathon.

Is that your next challenge?

AddictedtoCrunchies · 15/10/2012 10:29

I applied for VLM but didn't get in. Not sure my legs would take a full marathon but think I may do some more halfs (halves?)

I feel like I've been hit by a bus today though..

well done!

i might have smiled at you if you were in Peterborough M&S cafe afterwards Grin

lots of people were saying it was a tough course - brilliant time too!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 15/10/2012 10:46

'Fraid it wasn't peterborough. Swindon.

It reminded me of labour. Pretty painful while it was happening but half an hour after I'd finished I wanted to do it again Smile

Agree with the labour analogy!!!

Rest up today, you have earned it.

SerendipityAlways · 15/10/2012 11:03

Well done - fantastic achievement!! I did a 10K race last week end and totally understand your labour analogy - cant wait for the next one! Congrats!!

UnChartered · 15/10/2012 11:04

ah well, i would have if we were in the same place Grin

AnnieLobeseder · 15/10/2012 11:04

Well done! I love a good half marathon. They're quite addictive, and way more fun than full marathons.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 15/10/2012 11:26

unchartered I would have smiled at you too. I was grinning like the proverbial cheshire cat all afternoon!

Someone's just told me that Silverstone in March is quite flat.....

IrritaGirl · 15/10/2012 13:31

I'm doing Silverstone in March - my first half-marathon! Apparently it's a really good course.
