If I wanted to get fit...

And had about 30-60 mins to myself twice a week and no money (would try and stretch to trainers)
I'm not worried about losing weight just want to get fitter and maybe in the future more flexible. I walk a lot and happily walk 10
miles but couldn't run 100 metres.

So where should I start?

Do the lamp post challenge. Walk to a lamp post, then run to the next one, and so on, for half an hour. After a couple of goes, try walking to one, running to 2 etc.

Couch to 5k, download the podcasts from NHS website. If I can do it anyone can, couldn't run for 30s without nearly spewing within the 9 weeks could do 30min! Will be starting again when this baby's out and a few months years old.

If you can go with a buddy all the better.

Good luck!

Or get a book out of the library with workouts in it for a bit of variety.
