Dd is now 10 months old and I've run out of excuses. Lost loads of weight after she was born but it's all went back on (and more!!). I enjoy body pump and combat so hoping to start them up again when I can find the time for classes.
In terms of the gym, where should I start? I like walkin/running but don't think I'm ready for that yet. I'm thinking bike, rowing machine then some weights?

Aww well done fuzzy did you go?

I've been avoiding the gym since I got back from holiday so almost two months now Blush

Go for what you enjoy doing to get back into it. If ou have fun you're much more likely to go back.

I went Grin. Managed 10 mins on cross trainer then done 10 mins rowing. Was short of time as had to get dd and I was gubbed it's a start though!!!

Brilliant, well done, now you need to decide when you are going again- and make sure you do! Getting through the door the first time is the hardest bit, and you are past that now.

Well done.

Well done on the 10mins rowing! I find that absolutely the hardest thing in the gym - hate rowing! Still do it every so often though to give my body a shock. Once going to the gym becomes part of your routine it much easier.

Thanks ladies Smile

It is just finding the time to include it in my day. Diet starts Monday (to many things on this weekend) Grin

Well done! Here's a tip, if your gym has cross trainers with a tv screen take some headph

Schlock · 11/08/2012 11:54

...headphones & switch to Jeremy Kyle. You'll probably do longer cos you'll want to stay put until you find out if the guest is the father or a liar Grin

I got back into the gym 4 weeks ago 4 month after dd was born. I was really active before her n still went swimming until the day I had her. Much to the horror of the gym staff (I was 17 days late!)

So to get me back into it I started the couch 2 5 k plan. 3 running sessions a week over 9 weeks to build u up to running 5 km. each session is 20-30 mins. I've found it ideal Grin

Yeah, I went back to pump and combat about 3 1/2 months after dd was born. Was doing great and got into a routine of my mum coming over a few nights a week to let me go (single parent so no other adult in the house) but then I just fell away from it.
Great idea about JK Grin. Keeps you hooked for an hour eh?!
