I'm nearing the end of the Shred and I see there are lots of other DVD'S by Jillian so I can continue this strangely enjoyable torture...

So what would you recommend next? I'm more keen on strength and abs exercises as I get cardio from running, cycling and swimming.

I do love Jillian Wink Grin

I am currently doing No More Trouble Zones and am amazed at the results. In 2 weeks I have gone down nearly a whole dress size. There are 7 sets of circuits, of which I am progressing through 6 at the moment, I am a sweating, screaming wreck by the 7th! There is only a little cardio in the warm-up, and the rest is toning exercises and alot of ab work. My whole body has completely changed shape and I love it! I have been trying to do it 5 times and week, and the amazing changes are keeping me motivated to keep it up.

Isn't she wonderful!!! haha!

I went on to do Ripped but started at level 2. Also I upped my weights. Now I do Shred level 3 back to back with Ripped level4 and also add some NMTZ circuits for good luck!

will be inetrested to hear what others have done.

Ooh Overtired I think I am sold on No More Trouble Zones. Sounds just what I am after.

Chocolate you sound very hardcore!! I might invest in Ripped too to mix it up a bit Shock.

Jillian is great! I really didn't think the Shred could possibly be as good as all the reviews but it really is.

Thanks peeps Smile

wow, I am attempting to get through the 30 days of shred at the moment!

waycat · 31/07/2012 08:16

I've been an avid exerciser for about 12 years now, and have recently done the best thing ever in quitting my over-expensive gym and working out at home.
Have built up quite a substantial collection of DVDs and have free weights and a pilates mat.
Having recently bought the Jillian Michaels Collection Box Set, I've done Banish Fat Boost Metabolism twice through in the past week and it is a real hum-dinger of a workout!! I was quite surprised at how much I had to work to keep up, especially since I considered myself fairly fit to start with!
My next DVD to do will be 30 Day Shred, so I shall be interested to see how it compares to BFBM.

A Bob Harper DVD, even his cardio workouts at primarily strength orientated and you just make them harder/easier depending on the weight of your dumbbells.

I've been tempted by Bob Harper but can't seem to find a region 2 DVD, only region 1.

Hey I just started the Shred today, I have a 6m DS so am impressed that he let me do a whole 20 minutes! I did spinning last month which was more intense than Level 1. Even if you do Level 1 for 30 days I don't see how one would 'shred'!

I will try to do Level 2 later in the day to see.............interested to see what I could do after,

Interestingly I really found Clare Nasr's workout very hardcore too! Random I know!

ArthurandGeorge · 14/08/2012 08:53

I am in the middle of level 2 shred (which I found much harder than level 1) but I am really struggling with my knees, couldn't do jumping jacks in the warm up section last night as my knees hurt too much and they were sore earlier in the day when running after the children in the park. Any suggestions as to what I could do differently? I don't think it is the lunges but the jumping??

What is level 3 like for jumping etc? If I can't do it I might try NMTZ instead.

ILoveLemonCurd · 14/08/2012 09:20

Hi, there's lots of jumping in level 3 I'm afraid. Maybe you need to try and build up more slowly and have some rest days or swim instead while your knees get stronger. I modify some of the jumping moves, ie just step across for skaters and do high kicks instead of jumping jacks so at least I am moving.

NMTZ doesn't have cardio except in the warm up, so again I modify those. There are lots of lunges though. My problem is not my knees but I have a running injury which I shouldn't leap on.
