Somebody please tell me the quickest way to get my legs in shape.
My thighs are ok ish but below the knee is not pretty. I am quite desperate.

Cycling?

Also Yoga is great for Toning up.

Actually did try cycling this week, but it took 3 days for my fanjo to recover.

Squats and lunges (all the different types).
Lots & lots of walking.

I reckon cycling would be good. Maybe rowing machine?

I have the opposite problem Grin

Below the knees? Walking I think. Lots of walking. Or running.

Cycling appears to have done nothing for my calves, but I have a fine pair of thunder thighs.

Re the cycling/fanjo issues. Try tipping the nose of the saddle down a bit and make sure you're sitting on your sit bones not on anything more sensitive else.

I do lots of walking, so maybe that's why my lower legs are OK.

Nothing seems to work on my thunder muscular thighs and even worse, my footballers knees. But at least a dress/skirt covers themSmile

Cycling/fanjo - consider a new saddle, or a gel cover for the present one.

IslaValargeone · 28/05/2012 19:58

Thanks for the tips, will alter saddle position even though the saddle is a nice fanjo friendly one so I'm told.
I may have to try running then.

if you want to shape your calf muscles some sort of calf raise exercise will help:
