I have just found out I am pregnant (4 weeks) and ran a 10k yesterday. Feeling fine today.

I am signed up for, and have raised a lot of money for, an adventure 10k run this coming weekend. Will be 5 weeks.

I guess I am just looking for some reassurance that, as long as I go steady, things will be okay.

Congratulations!
I was still doing ski marathons at that point (didn't realise I was pregnant until just over 5 weeks).
The main points at this stage seem to be to stay hydrated, don't overheat and try not to get freezing cold either.

What sort of adventure race is it? Sounds exciting.

I did my last bodypump class when preg with DC2

at 4 days overdue

and pilates at 11 days overdue

and was back in jeans in 3 days

enjoy getting fat, and do not over stretch your tendons!!!

Thanks ladies.

Well muddy hills have been slid down, waterfalls scaled and a mountain climbed...oh and a 12k run. I am feeling okay if really shaky and lightheaded. I think I'll veg for the rest of the day!

Well done, I hope you had a well deserved veg. That race sounds really cool.
Maybe we should start a pregnant but still sporty quiche.
