Hi all,

My LO is now six weeks and I am well and truly ready to get my body back! I was relatively lucky in pregnancy and now only have about 8-9lb to shift but it's all on my tummy/Love handles and overall I just feel very flabby!

Pre pregnancy I was v fit and a size 8-10 and I continues exercising up until the week of birth but I've had to take it easy for six weeks due to a tear/stitches.

Any advice on a good (but challenging?) DVD that's broken into small ish sections to do when baby is napping?

I have the gym ball and dumbells but need something to follow until I can get back in the gym in a month or two!

Thanks :)

Shred? It's only 20 mins 3 mins strength, 2 mins cardio and 1 min abs repeated 3x tis good but might not suit at the moment depending on the state of your pelvic floor.

Davina's pre- and post-natal exercise DVD is very good.

Did you have a cs or natural delivery? I had a cs and felt able to start doing Shred at about 11 weeks, but I was v careful about recovery and recovered v well in the first 6-8 weeks.

If you had a natural, assuming you didn't tear or anything, I would think you'd be able to do something like shred or other DVD from 6-8 weeks if you feel ok?

Sorry, just seen you had a tear! I had a 3rd degree tear with DS1 and tbh couldn't have done something intensive like shred for at least 5 months. How is your recovery? Maybe yoga as a starting point?

Oops. I missed the tear too. Sorry. Maybe not shred. It involves star jumps. I had a 3rd degree tear 30 months ago and a 2nd degree tear 5 months ago and the star jumps are a bit marginal to say the least! I started c25k when DS was 6 weeks old though and finished it a month or so ago which is when I started shredding. I found running ok after 6 weeks though but easier with the 2nd degree tear than the third !

Have a look at her workouts www.youtube.com/user/ZuzkaLight/featured, I quite like them. They are short and quite intense. Browse the workouts and select the ones that you can do. Last year, she had a website with her partner called bodyrock, full of fantastic short workouts, but when she left, they erased all her videos, but you can find some on youtube .
the site Bodyrock still exists, but I don't like the style anymore. Talking about "style", I pretty like Tara Stiles . Tons of videos on the web
