30-day shred - effect on periods?

Just wondered if anyone else found that when they started doing the 30-day-shred it had an effect on their periods?

Mine have always been like clockwork but after just over 2 weeks of doing the DVD every day (apart from a couple of days) I didn't get my period. I then had a virus with a high temperature for a few days which meant I didn't feel up to exercising, and I stopped doing the DVD - then 5 days after that (10 days late) my period arrived. I then did some searching around on the web and found some things saying that over-exercising might have that effect. Thing is, it's only 20 minutes... though it is intense!

And if it was caused by 30-day shred, should I avoid it or would my body get used to it? I haven't done the DVD since (couple of weeks ago now).

I dont think 20 minutes a day would be nearly enough to disrupt the menstrual cycle, unless you have pretty low body fat.. I think most women have to get to 17% body fat or below for it to have an effect on their periods

Oh right. No not very low body fat, I suspect! Maybe it was just an anomaly then.
