Friends of friends are ecologists and want to run 5000 miles, the length of South America, unsupported, to raise funds and increase awareness of the plight of the rainforest. Their last adventure was to cross the Atlantic, just the two of them, in a 75 year old yacht, so you can see that they are pretty adventurous.
Anyway, if you want to help them, please take 1 minute to vote for them in this month's Berghaus adventure challenge (5000 mile project). The voting deadline is 5pm on Monday but they have been stuck in Chile far from the internet and hadn't been able to update their previous website (about the sailing and their ecological work in the Caribbean) so their friends and supporters have only just found out that they need to vote.
