Should I learn to roller skate aged 30 something?

I was visiting a friend recently who told me her family all go roller skating together for fun. At first I was horrified but am now thinking perhaps this does sound like fun after all and my daughter would LOVE it. Only problem is I never learnt as a child and am now wondering if I have left it a bit late.
Have just looked online and there is a rink in nearby Shoreham but I'm wondering if I'll be laughed out of town if I turn up there.
Any thoughts?

Go for it. My dh takes our three children (aged 7,6, and 3) inline skating; I stay at home enjoying the peace and quiet.

If you want to. 30 is fine, i think 80 would probably be a bit late
