Knackered back is ongoing knackeredness.

started couch to 5 k last week. haven't run for 10 years.

yanked it a bit when running on friday. then it was ok.

went shopping on saturday - ached a bit in the evening.

went to work today - aches like fuck now.

so, do i carry on with the running tomorrow if theback still hurts?

the back will hurt if i run or not. but i don't want it hurting more.

Poor you. I wouldn't but then I've never seen the point of enjoyed running much. When I hurt mine I was told to walk or lie down. Not sit. Could you power walk rather than high impact running?
Bath, painkillers and hot water bottle wine too

but if i don't exercise when it hurts that would rule out 6 out of 7 days. and would defete the plan of getting fit.

and then i would stay fat and unfit.

I wouldn't stop all exercise by any means. I would avoid high impact though.

I suffer with my back. 9 years ago I had a slip disc, and sciatica and subsequently had injections in my spine.mi started to run three years ago, and did a couple of half marathons. But early this year it hurt again, but. Kept n trying to run. But I have stopped now and rested it onths and months. Back is ok now but I do feel a lot creakier all over. I have done a stint of Pilates, and should go again, it does make you far more supple and mobile.
