a Q about trainers?

doing c25k (at least I am on week1!)

I think my trainers are too small, my toenails hurt.

They've been fine for going to the gym though.

Anyhow, should trainers be close fitting or is it better to get them a size bigger and have some room?

Definitely a size bigger just your normal size!

Sounds like the impact whilst running is damaging your toes. (when I do lots of training mine fall off eventuallyBlush)

Go into a good sports shop and get some fitted properly and pick out proper running shoes. No need to spend more than £50 though.

Definitely NOT a size bigger that should say!

Maybe they need to toughen up and get used to it again.

Definitely bigger. I wear an 8 in trainers, nothing bigger than a 7 normally. I need lots of room around my toes.

Too small will cause blisters over longer distances.

A size bigger. I wear a 6.5 to 7 shoe, and an 8 in running shoes. Any smaller and I lose toenails because the fronts of my toes keep hitting the ends of the shoe which causes blisters.

The running shop where I got my trainers recommend half a shoe size bigger than normal.

toenails v sore. think i need bigger ones. normally take a 7 so will try 7.5 and 8. and a running shop.
