Tracey Anderson's mat workout

Does anyone have it?

I'm looking for something to complement my growing collection of Jillian Michaels dvds, to do on days when I feel like something a little, erm.. 'quieter' Grin

Does anyone have this? I like the idea of the lengthening muscles thing and used to dance as a teenager so know how effective dance / ballet-type exercises are. BUT having looked at the sample clips on Amazon.... my God, she looks REALLY annoying and I'm not sure I could stand her Hmm

Can anyone tell me more about the workout? How long, what sort of stuff covered, is she unbearably annoying....? That kind of thing. I like the idea of the workout, but I like the idea of pilates too and that makes me want to slit my own wrists with boredom.

Grateful for any comments, good or bad!

I have just tried the mat workout even though I have toddler and I think it is a keeper!

just browsing through the threads and saw this one. I've been doing Tracy Anderson videos for about 2 years. I love them (even tho I'm horribly unco-ordinated!) and have never been in better shape. The mat workout is about 50mins long and is pretty hardcore. But I really liked it.
Her new DVDs "Metamorphisis" are an hour in total (30mins mat, 30mins dance) and change material every 10 days. Well worth checking out her website www.tracyandersonmethod.com or her facebook page

I have the Mat DVD and I really like it. Tracy is a bit pouty in it but I think that is just the face she pulls when she is concentrating. There are some mistakes in the DVD - she doesn't always do the same number of reps per side or do the movements in the same order. She also doesn't cue very much. None of that bothers me. I like the workout very much - it is calm and dancy and looks easy, but it kicks your butt if you do it all properly with plenty of power and control.

It is in different sections, standing legs, standing abs, standing arms, ams with weights, legs on mat, abs on mat.

I like it because she doesn't shout at you or count the reps, the music is cool and you really feel things working. If you do it regularly you will see good results.

Forgot to say, I don't find her annoying, she is quite sweet really. There is one bit in the arms with weights where she smirks at you just before getting you to do a killer move that makes you feel like your arms are falling off so I reckon the sweet thing is just a cover and she is a butt kicker.

I don't really like all the teeny tiny thing, and I think her diet is in the realms of eating disorder, but I just ignore the bits about her that don't work for me.
