With work/home commitments etc I find that I have just 3 (max 4) days per week that I can go to the Gym. These are generally for an hour each time.

What would be the best programme to follow to ensure I am getting the most out of these hours? Last night I did 30 mins on weights, 10 mins x-trainer, 10 mins bike and 10 mins treadmill. Im new to the Gym so not sure if this way is the most advantageous in a quest to get the 'body beautiful' Grin

Yes, a mix of weights and cardio is best. But if you have time outside the gym to do cardio, but this is your only opportunity to do weights, then slant it in favour of weights.

Ask for a trainer at the gym who can sort out a circuit training routine for you (weights + short bursts of intense cardio).

I'd throw interval training into the cardio and not worry about splitting it between machines - do 20 minutes of 1 minute hard/1 minute easy followed by a cool down on any cardio machine and spend the rest of the tie doing weights. Whilst doing weights try to do compound exercises so you're working several muscles at once rather than isolation exercises. Squats or lunges are great for hams/glutes/quads and adductors, chest press and lat pulldown will work most of your upper body.
