Quick gym/general fitness question

I've decided that I've been low down on my list of priorities for far too long so I'm doing somehting about it. I've just found out after 7 years Blush that there is a free gym in work which no-one hardly uses (quite small, new equipment, great when no students about] so I've decided to take advantage as well as start the C25K now I've got the app on my smartphone. Question is would 30 mins in the gym (10 mins bike, 10 mins treadmill, 10 mins row) be enough? I'm looking more for general fitness and to get down to ideal weight (5ft 6 and 11st at moment need to be around 9.5) Don't want to waste my time in the gym so need to make sure what I'm diong along with starting running will be worth it.

Sorry, that wasn't such a quick questiom after all!!

Definitely go for it!
30 mins in the gym will make a big difference, especially if you can do it several times a week.
The physical activity will increase your muscle mass and also increase your general fitness level. You'll burn more calories the rest of the time as a result of the exercise.
If you can do some running as well, so much the better.

Just make sure that you don't drink too many energy drinks and snacks after your work-outs. Many people fail to lose weight because they consume more afterwards than they used in the work out in the first place. Try to stick to water to rehydrate and don't change your diet unless it's in a healthy way.

Enjoy the extra energy you feel from doing this.
Good luck!!!
