"Family" or cargo bikes

Hi - does any wise MNer use one of those European family bikes? If so, where did you get it from. I can't seem to source one in the UK for less than £1200 but I've seen one on EBay in Germany for less than £700. Think I would like a four seater 'tadpole' bike (2 wheels at front, 1 at back) but would also like to buy it from somewhere in the UK that uses the tax break - "Bike to Work" Scheme.

Some examples...here and and here

i know someone with a Nihola which she LOVES. But she has said in the past that she wouldn't use it if she didn't live somewhere fairly flat!

Hi,

If you are interested I do know a lady in Kensington who is selling her Bellabike,a quality Danish Cargo trike. It is 18 months old, 2 seats, and is decorated like a New York Taxi - very visible.

Take a look at www.kidsandfamilycycles.co.uk, the importers of the Bellabike to the UK.

Do email me on [email protected] if you would like her contact details and the price. This lady is a private seller, so I feel I should not post her details on the web.
