Feeling "odd" after doing a Half Marathon on Sunday

Is this normal? It was my first HM (and first race!!) and I had no idea what to expect!!

I was in bed with flu in the days running up to the HM but with lots of rest managed to recover in time to run.

I finished faster than expected and so am guessing that I pushed my body quite hard. Had a lot of join pain on Monday, muscle pain on Tuesday and just generally feeling a bit run down and not quite right since then. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I can do to make me feel a bit better? I'm of snowboarding on Sunday and don;t want to feel like this!!

I think the general advice is lots of carbs and fluids, but if you've been ill as well I would dose up on plenty of iron and B vitamins - I take Feroglobin syrup and that seems to help. Well done and enjoy your holiday.

thatks pawsnclaws I'll try to get some Feroglobin. Is it something that can be picked up in Boots?

Yes it comes in a red and white box, should be with all the vitamin supplements etc.
