Fairly new to exercise .. need advice please

I've recently been using a treadmill (for brisk, uphill walking), an exercise bike and rowing machine every day in an attempt to get fit. I've started off slowly and was gradually building up, but this week have had a cold. Is it better for me to continue trying to exercise while I'm ill, or to give my body a rest until I feel better? Any advice most welcome, thanks!

If you feel unwell, I would have a break. If you feel OK, but are snotty/coughing etc, go, but just do a light session, and don't overtire yourself.
