Westministenders: This is not the Brexit we voted for

UK Shellfish industry destroyed because our inshore waters are not clean enough
Welsh Ports on their knees because the Land Bridge has found another route
Horticulture seed producers lost all of their mainland EU customers

Antique dealers lost access to their suppliers
Small businesses being told (by UK Govt) to relocate to the EU to avoid red tape
Brits in the EU discovering that stopping Free Movement applies to them too
Northern Ireland in Unionist flames because there is a border between them and Great Britain, but not the Republic
And the UK has still not taken control of its borders

Brexit is shaping up as predicted, but none of those who voted for it seem to have what they wanted

but PLEASE do not accuse her of being anything other than a real MN poster

Nobody has.

I didn't but still got deleted... seems like someone has Johnsons phone number.

Our esteemed leader

Ah, it's because you simply don't understand his pearls of...

wisdom.

TatianaBis · 22/04/2021 19:00

It would be good if someone has Johnson’s number because it looks like he’s on the verge of losing it himself.

Peregrina · 22/04/2021 19:23

Let us not forget that Dyson did not provide any ventilators. Now whether this was because they sucked rather than blew, I wouldn't like to say.

My Miele which replaced my Dyson has a very strong suck, and would lift the carpets if they weren't pinned down.

Anyone hear pfeffel deprecating 'bunny huggers' before remembering he was on the world stage and desperately retracting. The respect that guy must engender.

What a man to represent the UK, we are indeed blessed.
QueenOfThorns · 22/04/2021 19:52

I got deleted the other day, and I’m still a bit perplexed about it. I was suggesting that C&P doesn’t find sources reliable if they’re known to support Labour. (At least, that’s what I was trying to say, I’ve been worrying ever since that I accidentally said something terribly offensive instead)

Greta Thunberg having the last laugh

Nothing like being out-trolled by a teenager 🤣

Peregrina · 22/04/2021 20:45

I had some posts deleted the other week, and I didn't think I had said anything particularly offensive. But it was rather a weekend for Swiss cheese because a number of threads were sporting holes.

Peregrina · 22/04/2021 20:48

Didn't hear the de pfeffel Bunny Hugging speech, but didn't Cameron also call it Green crap? Shows what they really think.

GaspodeWonderCat · 22/04/2021 21:02

When posts start getting deleted and 'new' posters claim to be 'shocked' at some comments I always wonder what has got them rattled? I scroll past some posters (c&Pova) but carefully read others . Mostly lurking but appreciate the regulars input over the years.

ListeningQuietly · 22/04/2021 21:46

OK this is getting silly

I have had a post deleted
but no email from MNHQ
and there was NOTHING in that post that broke the rules.
If Clav was pissed off she would message me
SO
WHO is trying to emmental this thread?
and WHY ?

WHO is trying to emmental this thread? and WHY?

Presumably it’s a brave act of patriotism from one of the local True BeLeavers, defending Great Brexitannia against the heinous offence of “people not lavishing it with praise”.

mathanxiety · 22/04/2021 22:00

14 April 2021
Keir Starmer mocked as awkward Line of Duty joke met with complete silence at PMQs.

Is being a comedian a prerequisite for a political career these days?

If yes, it explains a lot about Boris Johnson.

mathanxiety · 22/04/2021 22:26

I certainly don't care much that Boris Johnson was sacked for making up a quote as a trainee journalist aged 23

The person who fired him cared and you should too, if you care about democracy.

Inaccurate attribution is among the cardinal sins of journalism because there is a difference between journalists and authors of fiction.

The third estate is a vital part of democratic society. The production of fiction is not.

If anything, the story goes to show how papers - the same papers that will go all-guns blazing on the Cummings leaks - can make up a story about "Labour networks of spies in the Civil Service", contradict it a week later, and get away with it with no consequences whatsoever.

TatianaBis · 22/04/2021 22:51

The last time benign posts were removed (Peregrina) Clav said wasn’t her.

If so, someone else is reporting.

Peregrina · 22/04/2021 23:45

I think it was MN HQ that was a bit jumpy that night.

HannibalHayeski · 22/04/2021 23:48

I'm guessing our new interloper. They must be scared, as that's the only time the shills start coming on here and trying to get everyone deleted.

TheSandman · 22/04/2021 23:53

re deleted posts. When you get a notification about a post being removed does it always start:

"We wanted to have a word as we've been getting reports about your posts on Mumsnet,"

'Reports' and 'posts' - or is it usually in the singular?

Westministenders: This is not the Brexit we voted for
Peregrina · 23/04/2021 09:17

I didn't get any message when mine were deleted. I had been away for a while and read from others about my posts being taken down.
When I did ask it was 'not in the spirit'. But there are a lot of threads with posts which someone could object to, but they stand. I decided that it wasn't worth arguing about.

Peregrina · 23/04/2021 09:18

More Brexit wins. This time for French fisherman.

This must be the only trade deal in history where everyone is worse off.
