Exit poll

Con majority of 68.

65 seats regarded technically as still too close to call. But that could mean an even bigger majority.

Blyth Valley has seen a 10% swing to the cons in line with the exit poll. 1st shock of the night

Looking like Northfield gone blue but not confirmed. Devastated.

BigChocFrenzy · 13/12/2019 03:49

I'd planned on an early night Hmm
Well, in 35 mins, I could start cycling to work, for an early start

Berger is being tipped for leader. If she wins Finchley of course.

Otherwise, it might be the Sole Seer, Dear Layla.

I feel in the interest of fairness I should point out the NS isn't any better on women when I've heard her talking.

Hazardexhausted · 13/12/2019 03:51

Edgbaston labour hold 👏👏👏

TheMustressMhor · 13/12/2019 03:51

Probably alarmed at the thought of actually having to get Brexit done

Will he never learn?

We shall see. We shall see how the electorate who voted for the Party who will "deliver Brexit" like having the USA and Trump and Putin et al in charge of what used to be our public services.

I reckon BoZo has suddenly realised that he has no real opposition any longer. I reckon he wanted a slim majority or a hung parliament, so that he could blame whatever goes wrong on everyone else.

Hmmm.

tobee · 13/12/2019 03:52

Whenever I think of BCF I think of a distant figure, cycling by the Rhine, EU flag fluttering away! Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/12/2019 03:52

Poor Swinson, I don't think she deserved that.

You can't be a feminist and not understand what a woman is. You believe in nothing if you don't recognise material reality.

She didn't spot the danger of being so militant on remain. It was a high risk strategy. One that now leads to a harder exit than it could have been.

She was an ideolog not a pragmatist.

And she miss judged the mood and took too big a gamble.

She

This is all thoroughly depressing. On the bright side, I really hope they televise Ruth Davidson swimming in Loch Ness. It’s beginning to look as though she may need to.

tobee · 13/12/2019 03:56

Bum Wimbledon. More cheesed off about LibDem putting Labour third, even if it makes some sense. Stephen Hammond was a Remainer but caved to Johnson.

Bedford has stayed Labour by 147 votes. No thanks really to the 4000 Lib Dem voters!

Sadly, Lincoln fell and now has an odious EDL supporting Tory.

TheMustressMhor · 13/12/2019 03:56

Jeez.

PLEASE not Layla.

CendrillonSings · 13/12/2019 03:56

@DPJHodges

Those moderate commentators currently savaging Corbyn might have a little more authority if they hadn’t been asking us all to elect him Prime Minister 5 hours ago.

dreichXmas · 13/12/2019 03:57

She was a poor leader with a shaky grasp on biology but the other two leaders were no better and she is the only one gone.

She is far down my list of people who should have lost their seats ( and she was a decent constituency MP according to family)
