Exit poll

Con majority of 68.

65 seats regarded technically as still too close to call. But that could mean an even bigger majority.

Blyth Valley has seen a 10% swing to the cons in line with the exit poll. 1st shock of the night

Fife North East taken by Lib Dems.

First seat not won by SNP.

I cannot wait to see the result in Swinson's seat. So glad I gave in to temptation and got all that chocolate in.

Also glad that Nigel Dodds has been defeated.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 13/12/2019 03:34

Corbyn would be too old for the next GE anyway if this Parliament ran its full term.

Tories think that if the Lib Dems had not been so obsessed with scalp hunting in Esher & Walton, they probably would have taken this seat

The banks of Loch Ness are going to be busy on Hogmanay!

tobee · 13/12/2019 03:36

Good luck northern Labour defectors. I'm sure you'll get your heart's desire.

TheMustressMhor · 13/12/2019 03:36

Can someone explain to me what is happening in Wales?

The word ‘recount’ has just been whispered here in Omagh Leisure Centre - hearing @gildernewm and @telliott_UUP are neck-and-neck, separated by approx. 20 votes... #GE19

SF v UUP

Walsal south lab hold. It's feeling more normal now, Lichfield Tory hold as you would expect. Nuneaton is nuts voting Tory again it's a deprived area with horrible bus service.

StraightenUpAndFryRight · 13/12/2019 03:37

Barrow & Furness gone blue.

TheMustressMhor · 13/12/2019 03:38

Tory majority in Moray only 513.

So near and yet so far.

RedToothBrush · 13/12/2019 03:38

Can someone explain to me what is happening in Wales?

Escape to the country. Combined with split remain vote. And low turnout.

TheMustressMhor · 13/12/2019 03:38

Corbyn is standing down.

BigChocFrenzy · 13/12/2019 03:39

SNP gain Aberdeen South from Tories

The NE Fife seat the SNP lost had only a majority of 2 over the Ldems in 2017.
Phew, I bet that former MP had his kit packed ready to move

RedToothBrush · 13/12/2019 03:40

Long Bailey survives.

Anna Soubry gone

StraightenUpAndFryRight · 13/12/2019 03:41

BigChocFrenzy · 13/12/2019 03:41

SNP gain Coatbridge, Chryston and Bellshill from Labour

DeRigueurMortis · 13/12/2019 03:41

Boris looks ill

Hazardexhausted · 13/12/2019 03:41

Sutton coldfield with its flagging half empty shopping centre increase Tory hold. Idiots. Home to the largest urban park in Europe - apparently.

Boris won Uxbridge easily. Looked very nervous waiting for results though.

prettybird · 13/12/2019 03:42

tobee - I live in the upper half (1st and attic floor) of a Victorian stone villa (dh calls it a "horizontal semi" Wink) - hence the lovely high ceilings (tree is over 9 feet high Xmas Shock) and the beautiful cornicing and frieze. Most of the houses in this street have (like ours) been converted into 2 (or even 3).

flouncyfanny - the moggies aren't too bad on the tree decorations, but I make sure that the bottom level are all non-breakable and - given their predilection for soft toys Xmas Hmm, that the "soft" Father Christmas decorations are out of their reach Xmas Grin

They are however having a field day with the collection of soft Father Christmases/Elves/Snowmen/Reindeer that I put out on the stairs leading up to the "main" (1st) floor. Xmas Smile

DeRigueurMortis · 13/12/2019 03:42
