Welcome to the Brexit Arms!

We are temporarily under new management but worry not, the ship is still steady as we sail on to 12 December. A quick recap of the events of the last week or two:

📋❓💙❤️💛⁉️💙‼️🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😀☹️😀☹️😧😱🙄😬🤥🤔😂🤣😂🔥💨⛈🌥🌦🌤☀️

Anyone of any political persuasion who is prepared to join in, eschew goadery, and enjoy a laugh, welcome. First drinks are on the house.

Well I'm a complete sinner then - I put a thick layer of butter, then cream and the jam is the topping.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 28/11/2019 18:03

Hate, I’ve caught up on it all.

Won’t say what I think, as we have been asked not to. But. Flowers

Don’t let the ......... get you down. Xxx

XingMing · 28/11/2019 18:09

Boris is correct: jam first, then cream. And NO dried fruit. In fact, strictly, a Cornish cream tea is served on tuffs or splits, which are slightly enriched and sweetened bread rolls. And as rare as hen's teeth. Apologies for the kitchen's shortcomings on my watch: it's much more varied this week.

Am I alone in thinking BJ is looking like a scaredy cat, for avoiding Andrew Neil?

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 28/11/2019 18:14

Yeah, Xing, I agree. He should do the interview and he should also apologise for his own comments and any issues within the party. It’s going to be messy, but face it down like a big boy, don’t shy away, it looks bad. I get that it’s his to lose now, and the advisors will resist. But the normal rules do not apply in this election and it’s the right thing to do. GET A.N DONE ✅

Also, I must seek out these mythical, delicious Cornish bread splits! New bucket list item! (Strangely, food features heavily on my bucket list... 😂)

HateIsNotGood · 28/11/2019 18:15

Thx Epic gawd knows what they made of my inclusion in the Brexitanian Dictionary either.

Now those Sours are sliding down (I wish) here's a little factoid that I've come across in my 'monotonous research' (work related).

Amongst many things I've been having to gather population figures since 2010 for all countries. And I'm astounded by the population declines in the Eastern European and Baltic Countries, not caused by the declines in birth rates (as Western Europe also has) but by FOM. These population declines are a major concern for these countries.

Thanks dusty, I channelled my inner 13 yr old artiste. Viva la Sharpie!

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 28/11/2019 18:19

You braved the newspeak? You are a braver soul than I. That’s just turning into a manual for the two minutes hate. But, at least you know what to say when they tell you to say it I guess. It’s the little things.

DustyDiamond · 28/11/2019 18:21

I put a thick layer of butter, then cream and the jam is the topping.

😱😱😱

Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!

yolofish · 28/11/2019 18:22

Butter. Jam. Cream. That's the rules, otherwise you just end up with a nasty mess of slidy jam on top of slippy cream. Leaving out butter is the sign of an inner puritan and is just plain WRONG!

DustyDiamond · 28/11/2019 18:23

Am I alone in thinking BJ is looking like a scaredy cat, for avoiding Andrew Neil?

He needs to commit to it sooner rather than later to nip any 🐓 comments in the bud

But agree with PP that doing it after the bulk of postal votes is quite canny

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 28/11/2019 18:24

Hahaha Yolo! We are going to need a referee soon. This could be more divisive than politics! 😂

DustyDiamond · 28/11/2019 18:26

Leaving out butter is the sign of an inner puritan and is just plain WRONG!

😳

yolofish · 28/11/2019 18:27

FAR more important epic! Also, just for the rulez, may I say it is scone as in GONE, not as in CONE.

(pours another glass and runs away in fear...)

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 28/11/2019 18:28

Shhh... don’t tell Dusty Yolo, but I agree Blush

The Holy trinity of Scone.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 28/11/2019 18:31

Fucking hell. Now I want scones.

HateIsNotGood · 28/11/2019 18:34

Yolo Exactly. And the pot must be warmed before tea and hot water and milk first in the cup. However, in my keeness to get my gnashers round those prepared scones (for 1 is never enough) I tend to teabag in a mug on the whole.

howabout · 28/11/2019 18:34

DH wouldn't know how to spell puritan Shock
If your jam slides off your cream I can only assume it is not actual thick clotted stuff and equally thick home made strawberry jam. No actual rules on fruit or not here but must by fresh from oven and not too warm lest you melt the cream.

DustyDiamond · 28/11/2019 18:38

Also, just for the rulez, may I say it is scone as in GONE, not as in CONE.

I am in solidarity with you here comrade 🙌

DustyDiamond · 28/11/2019 18:39

milk first in the cup.

🤮🤮🤮

Milk last!!

HateIsNotGood · 28/11/2019 18:41

If I was BJ I'd be claiming that I was too busy doing essential PM stuff unlike the other candidates who only have to do oppositiony candidate stuff. But then I'd be a bit a lot crap at being a PM.

HateIsNotGood · 28/11/2019 18:43

Dusty - I think we need a People's Vote on this. Maybe JC should decide.

HateIsNotGood · 28/11/2019 18:48

howabout if your scones are warm then the thick layer of butter takes the heat for the cream so it's not all slidy. I may have just made that up by the way, but it sounds pretty convincing, scientifikly, methinks.

AutumnRose1 · 28/11/2019 18:50

Wait, did he not have butter? That would be appalling.

DustyDiamond · 28/11/2019 18:50

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 28/11/2019 18:55

JC decide?

He probably just sits all miserly in a corner, with a dry old vegan scone (that’s basically a circle of pressed dust.). With exactly a quarter teaspoon of marrow jam and no butter OR cream.

😱😱😱
