I'm not promising to be the resident landlady, and I can't even hope to moderate the discussion or offer up great memes etc because I don't know how, but here's opening the next iteration....

First drink is on the house.

SNP are not an option in my constituency.
Tory
Labour
Lib Dem
Green
The Liberal Party.

Not one of them is worthy of my support.
I'm in my 50s. I always vote. The only time I have ever spoiled my paper was the PCC election because that was, in my view, a waste of money.

Limer · 18/11/2019 14:52

It's always a least bad choice, particularly so this time I think. Bellini Rather than supporting any party, can you vote tactically against the one you hate the most?

bellinisurge · 18/11/2019 15:20

I missed the Brexit Party off the list of parties. They probably see my constituency as a target. The only party to stop them in my constituency is the Labour Party. Hell has frozen over sufficiently for me to vote for Corbyn's Labour.
And I have mostly voted Labour since the 80s.

bellinisurge · 18/11/2019 15:20

Hell hasn't! Not has!

howabout · 18/11/2019 15:47

I voted SNP in 2005 because I felt about Tony Blair the way you feel about JC. I even voted Tory in 1997 because I didn't like the look or sound of him even before he got near power.

If I lived in Jo Swinson's seat I might have to tactically vote SNP such is my dislike of LibDems in general and her in particular.

I reckon the only way to move on with Brexit is a thumping Tory majority so that is how I am voting this time. If it's any consolation I have had a vote since 1992 and I have never voted for the winner either in my constituency or nationally. I was on the winning side in the 2014 and 2016 Referendums and so am more than a little miffed that these are the votes the politicians are choosing to ignore.

Hey all, quick name change, but I’m back, what have I missed? Wink 👋

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 18/11/2019 15:59

Got some nasty ass shit going on in RL, so can’t guarantee to be here as much, but just wanted to let you all know I’m still around.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 18/11/2019 16:00

Glad you spotted the war mongering charlatan at work How, I didn’t, younger, stupider me, thought “things can only get better.” Blush

Now I know. Grin

All the best for sorting RL Epic

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 18/11/2019 16:18

thanks how, without going into any major detail, it’s actually more important than ever (personally speaking) that Corbyn’s lot are decimated and Brexit gets underway. It might help, equally it may be too late. But what will be will be, out of my hands now, but anyone who is advocating for more dicking around, will certainly get short shrift from me.

Cheers to the new LL, it’s not easy managing this rowdy lot, but I’ll be cheering you on from the sidelines! WinkGrinWine

Walkingdeadfangirl · 18/11/2019 18:31

Oh dear the court case to stop Boris debating Corbyn tomorrow night has been lost.

The Sturgeon and Swinson have thrown their toys out of the pram and are now sulking.

🤣🤣🤣

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 18/11/2019 18:37

Shame, I was looking forward to the “I HAVE A VAGINA” monologue.

BelleHathor · 18/11/2019 18:41

Both of them remind me of veruca salt 😂🤣😂m.youtube.com/watch?v=TRTkCHE1sS4

🥚🥚👴👴 Willy Wonka sorts Brexit! 😂😂

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 18/11/2019 18:57

Bad times. I have memes. I can’t post memes. Because I had previously de-regged Old Epic during a fit of pique. Sad

Memes be how I roll.

Now, instead, I will have to write long, witty and informed postswith citations and shit. Ugh. #Boring

ArseDarkly · 18/11/2019 19:05

So pp's are looking forward to the big debate? It could be very important - one false move and it could haunt either of them for the rest of the campaign.

Saucery · 18/11/2019 19:20

I am interested to see how seriously they take it. I suspect Johnson won’t and Corbyn will aim for Pithy and just hit Mard.

BelleHathor · 18/11/2019 19:24

🤞🙏🤲🙌 #prayforthespeedyreturnofepicsmemeability. Solidarity comrade , may the power to meme return ! 🚩🌹🚩🌹
RE: Debates am looking forward to tomorrow. Glad it is only the 2 of them as it means it can be focused. 😊

XingMing · 18/11/2019 19:24

Welcome home Epic. The crowd's been quite chilled the last few days as there haven't been many pratfalls or triumphs of great political significance (or I missed 'em... always a possibility). Have open a bottle of Lidl's finest Tarragona Wine[ (but IRL, we have found that quite a few are corked; it's good, if uncorked, and decent value, but a high failure rate as they are currently selling a 2013 vintage.)

I haven't even had a canvasser yet, and my local LibDem is usually bounding around, and always comes to us, because he's only 23 and the DS of a school gate acquaintance. Our ward, in a fairly solid Tory seat, has a vocal Labour presence, and locally they will be mobilising to unseat the incumbent.

Can’t wait!

Boris.
“No more dither and delay”, “Oven ready brexit deal”, “Unleash the potential” “get brexit done” “friday the 13th nightmare on downing street” “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.” END.

Corbyn.
“Free” “nationalise” “real change” “Hamas are not my ‘fwiends” “angry grimace” “bonfire of workers rights” “NHS for sale”. “Brexit, What I said was...”. “Free”.
END.

Not sure I need to watch it after all. Grin

Walkingdeadfangirl · 18/11/2019 19:40

Epic you forgot the pot noodle Brexit. Just add water and stir!

Who's in charge of it anyway?

I don't think Bozo can get away with just saying that stuff again can he? Didn't work well for the Maybot!
