I'm not promising to be the resident landlady, and I can't even hope to moderate the discussion or offer up great memes etc because I don't know how, but here's opening the next iteration....

First drink is on the house.

Why does Jo Swinson hold her arms up like she’s the second coming?

SingingLily · 21/11/2019 19:14

I suspect Lily has also been reading the Pro Labour mumsnet threads

Probably. And I don't care how many tears she sheds. She's not getting her mitts on my username. Grin

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 21/11/2019 19:21

I don’t know Dirty, good question, it is a bit evangelical isn’t it? Confused

Limer · 21/11/2019 19:24

Excellent article - and now I know what the "NOT FOR SALE" chant reminded me of.... "U S A" Grin

Limer · 21/11/2019 19:26

Why does Jo Swinson hold her arms up like she’s the second coming?

Practising her YMCA dance moves?

Limer · 21/11/2019 19:30

She's not getting her mitts on my username.

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

She'd be breaking the Trade Descriptions Act if she did!

Evening comrades, having a quick catch up...

Evenings cold now, proper cold and there's a hearty heart warming fire leaping in that hearth. 😁.

Agree totally with the need for Boris to drop the sound bites! He has a natural charisma, bumbling or whatever he's a bit different and more interesting than the likes of general grey, politicians.
He needs to just straight talk. He has an excellent command of the English language, let's hear it. Not the crappie political teams teaching them to say...

'' let's be clear '' whilst protruding their thumbs forth, in a jabbing motion.

Boris big slip up was seemingly endorsing Andrew the queen's son recently.

What twists and turns will come out in following weeks.

Winterisnigh · 21/11/2019 20:22

There used to be a poster with the name Emily thornberry.

I wonder if it was she!

XingMing · 21/11/2019 20:41

She hasn't been prominent in the campaign so far, but this isn't an election that will be won or lost on foreign policy, except Brexit.

Hollycatberry · 21/11/2019 22:14

The IFS verdict on the Labour manifesto, covered here. Basically said it’s not credible to raise the revenue from just taxing the rich and companies. Labour assuming they will raise 83bn by 2023/4. It’s a staggering sum. But let’s be honest it won’t be enough. In fact it’ll never be enough to afford labours grand nationalisation plans along with giveaways like free broadband and god knows else they have planned if they got into power.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 21/11/2019 22:32

It wasn't just Lily Allen that cried at Labours manifesto. I had a little cry as well, the taxes, borrowing & spending is eye watering. 😰😰😰
