GE is on! Remainers how will you vote?

Just that really! The General Election is on, either 11th Dec or a few days before but it's going to happen now that Labour have agreed. Tactical voting websites are being prepared as we speak.

If you are a remainer, who will you vote for?

(And if any leavers lurk here, will you vote for Tories or Brexit party?)

I live in a very safe Labour seat in London. Which way should I vote? I want to vote lib dem as I'd like to revoke, but is there any point in such a safe seat?

Zampa · 29/10/2019 12:04

The party that wins will be the one that mobilise its voters.

If rural areas are more Brexity and winter weather keeps voters away, especially older ones, will this work against the Torys?

Wolfff · 29/10/2019 12:04

I live in Kensington which unexpectedly went to labour last time. I don't expect them to hold it but I will be voting Labour to keep the Tory out if possible. Apart from Brexit, the events that caused Grenfell are a massive issue locally and I think there is more chance of justice being served under Labour (though still unlikely).

potatoeseverywherepot · 29/10/2019 12:05

LibDems (if they don't hook up with Jeremy Corbyn) or Tories if the LibDems fuck up.

If you are a remainer why the fuck would you vote Tory?

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 29/10/2019 12:05

Leaver- tories (very reluctantly)

nagynolonger · 29/10/2019 12:06

No point voting tory here because sitting tory is a remainer. I'm not a tory anyway. I tried voting LibDem to get the bugger out and got the ConDems. I won't make that mistake again

Labour......JC has sat on the fence for so long he's got a foot long splinter up is arse. I would usually vote labour but really can't vote them now.

LibDems.......Selfserving liars. Really have taken dislike to their leader too. Just too up herself.

Green? I am 'green' but not really sure what they would do re NHS etc. Suspect they are all things to all men type of set up.

Doesn't leave much does it? Brexit party.........never thought I would even consider extreme right wing.

Spoil my vote most likely.

Notonthestairs · 29/10/2019 12:11

Remainer. Lib Dem good tactical vote in my area - Remain constituency, ERG MP and a very active local Lib Dem council.
May head back to Labour post election but will review.

maddy68 · 29/10/2019 12:12

Labour. They have pledged a final vote on their deal or remain

Breathlessness · 29/10/2019 12:13

By the looks of this Boris will have his majority.

JoanJettPack · 29/10/2019 12:15

Remainer here and life long Labour voter.
I'll be voting Labour as usual.

Ironfloor269 · 29/10/2019 12:15

Labour.

TheSultanofPingu · 29/10/2019 12:17

It's a tough decision that's for sure. I'm a remainer libdem supporter in a labour leave voting area. We seem to have a Brexit party candidate which concerns me immensely, so will probably end up voting labour purely for tactical reasons.

RockinHippy · 29/10/2019 12:17

Labour, hands down, their policy makes most sense for Brexit too as far as potential to minimise any civil unrest. I'm confident a second referendum would favour remain

I wouldn't trust the yellow Tories as far as they can be thrown. You only have to look at their voting record to see where they really lie. Abstaining from a recent vote to protect the NHS speaks volumes for example.

fikel · 29/10/2019 12:18

Remainer will be voting Labour!
Shouldn’t Boris be in a ditch by now????

Twooter · 29/10/2019 12:20

I can’t see why remainders would vote for anyone except libdem. Labour haven’t said if they’re remainders or leavers, and the policies they announced at conference we’re an absolute joke.
Leaver, so Tory here. Terrified of snps getting in and setting off the independence route.

LavendarGreen · 29/10/2019 12:21

@WarwickLife

No idea yet, but DEFINITELY not Labour!

GrouchyKiwi · 29/10/2019 12:25

@Twooter Because the LibDems have no presence in my constituency (come a distant 4th), and our Labour MP is a strong Remainer who votes that way every time.

LavendarGreen · 29/10/2019 12:27

@Twooter it's understandable that you are confused, because Labour appear to be generally backing REMAIN, (and so does Corbyn.)

However, Corbyn has been anti-EU since God was a boy. Right up to this year. Yet he suddenly decided he would switch sides.

Most disingenuous man in politics. I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth, and he has single handedly destroyed the Labour party.

I loath the man for doing this, as I am now politically homeless.

Lwmommy · 29/10/2019 12:27

Labour. Hate Corbyn but I don't want Tory to win and Lib Dem's have no chance of a majority so Labour it is.

I have a bad feeling about this election, worried that general apathy and discontent will result in a low turnout, high number of spoilt ballots and more, but not enough votes to Green/lib dem. Resulting in Tory either scraping a win or being able to make another alliance (please God not with the brexit party) to remain in power.

My hope is that people will vote labour, despite concerns about corbyn and give them the majority.

My true wish is that Corbyn stands down and someone else steps up who can gain support for labour, it's a pipe dream though.

LavendarGreen · 29/10/2019 12:28

*loathe (not loath.)

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 29/10/2019 12:28

If we’re going to go, I’d rather go under Corbyn than Bojo. And Labour supports a referendum.

Voted Labour all my life until European elections, when l voted Lib Dem

Normandy144 · 29/10/2019 12:28

I'm a remainer and will vote Lib Dems. This election is about nothing else but Brexit and i want my vote to count as registering my wish to remain. If Boris gets a majority he will take that as a mandate for a hard Brexit. We need to show him that is not the case.

WooMaWang · 29/10/2019 12:29

I'm voting lib dem and despairing of the whole fucking thing. My constituency will vote labour because it always does.

Genuinely, I cannot imagine how anyone could view Corbyn as a potential prime minister. The Labour Party would be more effectively led by one of those balloons on sticks they give the kids at pizza express with a face drawn on it.

LavendarGreen · 29/10/2019 12:29

@Lwmommy

You mention, Labour, Conservative, Greens, Libdems???

Do you not think people will vote for The Brexit party?
