I thought we might appreciate a separate thread for organising meet ups and info :)

I am short of time at the moment, so support in gathering info and linking people together is very much appreciated.

It looks like Parliament (according to a Laura K tweet) will be having a special meeting on that day, even though it's a Saturday, so all the more reason to come along and let them know that we reject the situation and that we especially reject a No Deal Brexit.

I've made it to Horse Guards. Massive Lib Dem flag!

TheOliphantintheRoom · 19/10/2019 14:35

Think the Independent's website has a live feed of the march.

CrepuscularCritter · 19/10/2019 14:44

Tried to add pics earlier but they're not uploading yet. It's incredible.

LizzieMacQueen · 19/10/2019 14:51

Glad I went, somehow managed to meet up with my sister as her coach got late in from the other side of the country. We had a nice catch up but only made it half way down Whitehall because of the crowds. Now on the train home and pleased to see a lady sporting several red toothbrushes that I waved to.

Having been on numerous marches as a kid I was a bit disappointed with the lack of chanting though. Not like the old days.

SingingBabooshkaBadly · 19/10/2019 16:42

You're massively underestimating the numbers. It took me 40 minutes to inch across Parliament square. There must have been upwards of thirty people thereWink

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/10/2019 17:04

I am so sorry!!!! That was a shit forecast. Where the hell did that rain shower come from?

Anyway, I've made it to a pub now. Hopefully beer will arrive soon :)

That was a bonkersly busy march. I've been on almost everyone and that was different.

There's some really good aerial footage on the BBC website (yes, surprising) called something like Hyde Pk Corner to Parliament in 60 seconds. I know it's only a snapshot and people will obviously have joined and left at different points, but surely some clever people can estimate at least minimum numbers from that? (I make it at least 40 people. Maybe 45 if you're a Lib Dem).

lazylittlelucy · 19/10/2019 17:57

DH and I had a fab day. Didn't do whole march - just the last bit from Trafalgar Sq to Parliament Sq. The films and speakers were excellent as always - and another great stunt by @ByDonkeys.
Back on train to Manchester now - shame we had to leave early

DorisDaysDadsDogsDead · 19/10/2019 18:00

I was obviously towards the front, so I didn't see the other 40 people behind me..

lazylittlelucy · 19/10/2019 18:00

Oh and forgot to say the live count of the vote was amazing too. So glad we were there for that ... fab result Star

sovielverloren · 19/10/2019 18:01

We managed to get near the front of the March so got beyond Downing Street before peeling off to come home. It was incredible but it's difficult to get the sense of scale when you are in it.
Bumped into ohyoubadbadkitten in the queue for loos at Victoria!
Hope everyone got/gets home safely.

Had a great day. Very friendly and didn’t see any trouble at all. Walked to the Mall, and then it reached a standstill, so then went via Embankment to Parliament Square. Really pleased I went. Had to buy an umbrella en route!

FlyingFlamingo · 19/10/2019 18:39

There are 52 of us on our coach (and 2 others from our part of the world) so there were at least 150 Grin

I only saw a couple of shouty, drunk Brexit supporters. They seemed very bright and eloquent Hmm
