From Flamingos to Yellowhammer and Black Swans.

The Tory Remainer is now a Dodo. Instead the party in inhabited by disaster capitalist Vultures. Jeremy Corbyn, meanwhile, has been labelled by the right wing press as a Chicken. The SNP would very much like Boris Johnson to be a Jailbird. The LDs are keen to sing like Canaries about the contents of BlackSwan. The Br

And the Tower of London is starting to get very jumpy about the whereabouts and location of its Ravens.

I would not, however, advise eating urban wild pigeons if things get desperate, from what I know of their health.

I've had an email. Thought you might want a peek. Surreal or what?

*Dear Julia,
It’s been a strange few weeks for Labour. One minute, Jeremy Corbyn demands an election. The next minute, he blocks it.
Others are losing their heads. We’re not. We’ll deliver Brexit by October 31st. And I’m asking you to help us do it.

Over the past two weeks, I’ve travelled across Europe meeting with EU leaders.
We’ve been making real progress. The chances of getting a deal have been rising.

That’s because EU leaders could see we want a deal. And they could see that if we don’t get a deal, we’re ready to leave without one.
But Labour MPs are trying to stop us. They just voted for more delay. That’s why we’re calling for an election. So will you chip in and help us win it?

Corbyn and Labour MPs are undermining our chances of leaving – with or without a deal.
They passed a law that would force us to beg the EU for a delay. And we’ll never do that.

More delay would mean more uncertainty for our economy. That means our priorities would be ignored – priorities like the NHS, police and schools.
So I’m asking members like you to help us get on with the job.

If you chip in today, together we can win the next election and deliver Brexit by October 31st.

Yours sincerely,

Steve Barclay
Secretary of State for Exiting the EU

Well someone is going to jail then if no agreement is reached.

JuliaCheeser · 12/09/2019 21:53

Oubliette, I am amazed at them! Since when did the Labour party have the ability to pass laws? Grin

@JuliaCheeser. Yes. But he can hardly say “our idiot “leader” threw away his majority in a hissy fit trying to make himself look strong, and now we’ve totally backed ourselves into a corner. Ooops.”

BigChocFrenzy · 12/09/2019 21:57

Proper tasty choc, Queen, flouncy not the crappy type

There are some excellent premium brands too, e.g. I like Vivani

OublietteBravo · 12/09/2019 22:00

(And I hate their assumption that I must want to leave the EU just like they do. Are they trying to purge any remaining Because I doubt they can afford to do that if they actually fancy winning the GE that they may or may not want).

OublietteBravo · 12/09/2019 22:01

Oops. any remaining remainers

The writing style in that Tory letter is like it's aimed at children. Thanks for the new thread, Red.

bellinisurge · 12/09/2019 22:05

A Great Tit has a song pattern that sounds like "My tree! My tree! My tree!".
How like our Dear Leader.

OublietteBravo · 12/09/2019 22:05

All their communication is like that. Here’s the make me leader campaign leaflet for Boris from the start of the summer.
