The Brexit Party are doing really well in the polls. I just hope they do as well in the election.
I think their slogan should be "Tell them again".
I would like to see a clean sweep of Brexiteers but I know that is not going to happen.
I have sent off my postal vote.

I can't understand why anyone thinks what they want actually trump's democracy.

I'm leaver And would have Been gutted had ref gone other way. however I'm a reasonable person who can see good and bad in both sides. I would have Been upset then simply made best of it!!

But what I want or don't want , does not trump democracy above all.

HateIsNotGood · 13/05/2019 20:55

Drastication because apparently both you and I and the other 17+million are not as intelligent, well-educated, do our research, etc, etc, etc as the people that voted to remain. Substantiated by their own myths that all leave voters are racist, hate all immigrants and want to privatise everything, for always and beyond. Furthermore, you know we also might believe Hitler was a really great dude and we totally grok on Trump too.

Yep - you couldn't make it up really, but some of these remain-peeps actually believe that shit.

They're like a cult; everyone else is wrong, except them.

bellinisurge · 13/05/2019 21:11

What on Earth are "remain-peeps"? I don't think most Leave voters are knuckle dragging racists, but you seem to like to lump everyone who voted Remain into some weird category.

themueslicamel · 13/05/2019 21:23

They're like a cult; everyone else is wrong, except them. Agreed, I mentioned up thread that Westminster had it coming, meaning political change and a landslide moving away from the traditional two party system.

The next thing I'm accused of being on the same page as Jo Cox' killer!

I've been vegetarian for 30 years and wouldn't hurt a fly!
Confused

bellinisurge · 13/05/2019 21:29

God, this is worse than a playground. Posters call Faridge fanatics a cult and then that term has to be owned by ... well, I hope your not Faridge fanatics .... in order to diffuse the truth of it. The lying of the Leave campaign is pointed out and that turns into "Remain lied".
I'm sure I smell too. Or possibly even live in a shoebox in a puddle. GrinGrin😂😂😂😂

lonelyplanetmum · 13/05/2019 21:31

Here's an NHS doctor telling Farage as it is. May make people feel less like rejoicing?

Leavers rejoice
Coppersulphate · 13/05/2019 21:31

Clarinova, I wasn't having a go at you about the guardian. I look on their website but only to check stuff from here.
I am a natural Conservative voter but feel let down that they have not managed to push Brexit through yet, hence my vote for the Brexit party. My 2 children and their partners are all voting Brexit.

HateIsNotGood
For what it is worth I spent a while earlier this evening reading about my local town and what happened during WW2, with the list of inhabitants that were suspected by the Germans of being spies or saboteurs, and saying whether they were sent to the various death camps or just forced labour camps. There were also pictures of the town which was 80% obliterated. The UK 'got lucky' in that only the Channel islands were occupied during WW2. Of course it wasn't just luck, but the fact that the UK was fighting in coalition with the USA, Russia and the free fighters across Europe. I shall be commemorating the sacrifice of the 705 soldiers and airmen who didn't go home from this little corner of Europe, back to their families in the UK, the commonwealth and Canada.

ChavvyOldBrexiteer · 13/05/2019 21:44

I agree with you OP.

I usually vote Green but am fully behind the Brexit Party.

Media commentators like James O Brien have been incredibly abusive towards Leave voters, but all this does is polarise the country even more and radicalises even very mild mannered Leavers.

HateIsNotGood · 13/05/2019 21:50

clerc do you really want to go back to our little WW2 corners to substantiate our Brexit POVs?

You'd probably want to shoot my Father on sight for the part he played as a 17 year old Bomber Pilot (yes he lied about his age). Go on, tell me more about the motherfucker cunt you think my Dad was, and everything else he did in his life, from your narrow-minded little corner of bubble-land.

Or maybe you'd better wind your neck back in and stick to the present.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 13/05/2019 21:56

Ive reread clercs post of 21:38 and hates post of 21:50 and im very confused

How has coerc commemorating dead soldiers and airmen translate to hates dad being a cunt

I'm obviously missing something

1tisILeClerc · 13/05/2019 21:57

HateIsNotGood
Oh dear, what language!
The subtlety of people wanting to work together to improve the future obviously passes you by.

HateIsNotGood · 13/05/2019 22:01

Because clerc is running out of things to say - he's going back to his version of his 'understanding' of WW2 and how his understanding of this equates to Brexit and his little bit of Europe that he lives in.

As he's going below the belt, where most blokes feel comfy, I'm barrelling back, with more to follow. And I'm not even a bloke.

Apols for any confusion caused Rufus.

HateIsNotGood · 13/05/2019 22:15

Well clerc - when I swear it's with good reason. Swearing was every other word in "Brexit: Behind Closed Doors" - is there some EU hierarchy of swearing that only those few (and weren't they just a little handful of people) high-uppers can do without reproach.

Please do describe your EU-Remain Hierarchy, where do you place UK Leave voters, in this post-Revoke UK. How will you silence them? How will you subdue the ill-educated 'masses' who voted to Leave?

Rather than imagine Brexit sunlit uplands - how do you imagine your post-Revoke UK will be? Not that you give a shit as you don't even live here. Ooops I swore, what will you do with the Leave-serfs like me. In WW2 they'd have shot me, you like WW2 so much...are you going to shoot me, or starve me slowly in a concentration camp?

HateIsNotGood · 13/05/2019 22:24

Remain-peeps = people who voted remain....obviously.
Chucking all Remain voters into an homogeneous group is no more or less than many 'remain-peeps' do about 'leave-peeps'.

So what, I get bored with affording everyone the respect of calling them remain voters or leave voters, when a lot of opinions come from Peeps who didn't even vote. So, we're all peeps, no biggie.

Cornishclio · 13/05/2019 22:38

I am a former conservative voter and will only now vote for a remain supporting party so Change UK, Lib Dem or greens. Brexit party is a joke with a nasty unpleasant man at the head of it. Only policy is to leave EU.

Peregrina · 13/05/2019 22:41

No actually we don't lump all Leavers together. There were those who voted Leave wanting to see more money for the NHS. I have every sympathy with them, although why they expected the Tory Government to suddenly change direction is beyond me. But people on this thread didn't believe that 'promise', so we will discount it.

Those who support Farage are perhaps 10-20 % of Leave voters. Deny it if you wish, he was quite happy to whip up hatred against immigrants, by standing in front of a poster which talked about breaking point, and showed Syrian refugees walking to somewhere which wasn't even in the EU. I dare say he will try to lie his way out of that if anyone bothers to challenge him, in the way that he tried to extol the virtues of Norway doing well, but now pretends he didn't.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 13/05/2019 22:46

Im permanently confused hate Smile

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 13/05/2019 23:20

I’ll join you on the confused bench there rufus. Not sure how you get from clerc’s post to hate’s

Peregrina · 13/05/2019 23:27

What do the 'ill educated masses' not my words, note, expect Farage to do for them?

Farage did have the benefit of an expensive education at Dulwich college, I don't know whether that makes him well-educated. I suspect he's of an age where if you had sufficient money to pay, you were offered a place.

Coppersulphate · 13/05/2019 23:37

Why are so many Remainers on here? This thread was intended to celebrate the rise of the Brexit party.

Are all the remainers panicking?
Oh well, can't be helped, I suppose.
But I am still delighted about the polls.

OP posts:
Peregrina · 13/05/2019 23:39

What do you expect Farage to do for you?

I recall Theresa May getting excited about polls just over a couple of years ago. 100 seat majority predicted - a most wonderful opportunity to stick it to Labour. It didn't work like that.

notangelinajolie · 14/05/2019 01:58

Why are so many Remainers on here?

They need someone to argue at. I'm sure one will be along soon to try but I'm off to bed.

bellinisurge · 14/05/2019 05:52

Not panicking. Why do you think we are not Leaving? The delay was caused by Leaver MPs not getting behind the WA (which did the tricky job of creating a legal framework for Leave that was compatible with GFA obligations) . The only people realistically spoiling Leave were other Leavers.
