The Brexit Party are doing really well in the polls. I just hope they do as well in the election.
I think their slogan should be "Tell them again".
I would like to see a clean sweep of Brexiteers but I know that is not going to happen.
I have sent off my postal vote.

Bellini, LeClerc and Peregrina, why do you come on this thread?

It is for celebrating Brexit

OP posts:
1tisILeClerc · 22/05/2019 16:20

No, it is to hear exactly what about Brexit is being celebrated. Waiting to find out what a 'Brexit' might look like. Colour, texture, is it fluffy, you know tangible things that could be debated on a DISCUSSION board.
If it were a cat, is if black or tabby, long or short hair.

Mistigri · 22/05/2019 16:20

Is there something to celebrate in people voting for IRA supporters and people who thought Radovan Karadžić was a good bloke?

It strikes me that people who vote for terrorists and mass murderers might have a peculiar idea of what "democracy" means.

bellinisurge · 22/05/2019 16:20

@Coppersulphate , the only way to avoid a No Deal Brexit and still get Brexit is to support the PM's lame WA.
As a Remain voter, I'm prepared to do that because I recognise the result of the referendum. And I'm a grown up.
So I'm the kind of person you want onside. And yet you are getting your pants in a twist over Nigel's lies and one hit wonder bullshit.
If we end up No Deal, I'm a general prepper so I don't care if everyone else is fucked. I'd rather they weren't because it is unpleasant for everyone.
But I think you think it's a fucking game.

ContinuityError · 22/05/2019 16:30

British Steel is not competitive and whether we are in or out of the EU will make no difference.

Brexit does make a difference - loss of EU carbon trading permits, devaluation of sterling hitting raw material imports, risk of tariffs for E27 customers causing orders to dry up.

This is just scare mongering. Panic spreading.

So April’s £100 million loan required to cover the cost of being outwith the free EU carbon scheme due to Brexit is nothing to do with Brexit?

You really are determined to see no downsides to Brexit.

You really need to grow up.

Hello pot, kettle calling.

PortiaCastis · 22/05/2019 16:36

I'm so angry about the whole thing I've already posted about the staff I've lost because of this bloody shambles and I've been in tears wondering what's going to happen so I for one think others saying I'm alright jack and not caring what happens to people and their livelihoods are out of touch and bloody selfish.
Farage cannot do brexit even if his dodgy party win all 73 UK seats, then what happens? The whole thing is bloody ridiculous, what do people expect to happen other than ruin the Country andme

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 22/05/2019 17:26

How about a much needed motorway for Cornwall as we don't have one

Or an average speed rail line down to Penzance. Preferably one you don’t have to shut every time it gets a bit windy,

Ha agreed Rafal although when I went up to London for the march I got on the night train from St Erth to Paddington and it took 6 hours so for once GWR came out tops however if it gets stormy we're in trouble.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 22/05/2019 19:50

Never taken the night one. It never fails to amaze me that it takes the same amount of time, sometimes less to get into London than it can take to get into the next county.

bellinisurge · 22/05/2019 19:51

Not sure why the op thinks that only Brexshit Party supporters support Brexit.

jasjas1973 · 22/05/2019 20:14

It is for celebrating Brexit

We can't see anything to celebrate and you can't or won't tell us what it is.
So, stop be so secretive and explain why we should all be celebrating?

We'd all love know!

ContinuityError · 22/05/2019 20:51

Coppersulphate

New Kantar European elections poll has the Brexit Party on 27.4%.

Peregrina · 22/05/2019 22:07

I used to be a fan of HS2 until I studied it properly. I now think it doesn't make sense, but increasing freight capacity in the south east would. I would also want to see the trans pennine route modernised, and given decent rolling stock. For those London based MPs - there is still an awful lot more country further north than the south pennines, so beefing the trans pennine route up is only a partial solution to the north's problems.

Similarly in Devon there is a case for reopening the inland route via Okehampton, instead of cutting off Devon south of Exeter and all of Cornwall when the track gets washed away when there is a heavy storm at Dawlish - attractive though that route is.

Peregrina · 22/05/2019 22:08

Oh but sorry, not not allowed to post here, because I am not celebrating Fascist Farage and his fan club.

Coppersulphate · 22/05/2019 23:38

Peregrina, of course anyone can post here. It is an open forum. I just wondered why you bothered.

And yes, there are many people who, support Brexit who do not support the Brexit party.of course there are. There are those who support UKIP. And many, many others.

OP posts:
Coppersulphate · 22/05/2019 23:40

According to the BBC's poll tracker 3 hours ago the Brexit party are now polling 33.5%
Check the BBC's website.

OP posts:
Mistigri · 23/05/2019 06:33

Not sure why the op thinks that only Brexshit Party supporters support Brexit.

If you take the most extreme polling (BP on 37%) at face value then it would appear that virtually all remaining Brexit supporters will vote BP or UKIP (3%).

Brexit support in the wider population is running at around 40-45%.

bellinisurge · 23/05/2019 06:50

Then if all remaining Brexit support is crystallised with the Brexshit Party, 30+% is poor. Hardly a majority amongst the electorate.

bellinisurge · 23/05/2019 06:51

Or are Brexshitters suddenly interested in the views of a minority. Say, 48% of the electorate. Grin

Peregrina · 23/05/2019 09:05

I could ask you why you bother to post anywhere Coppersulphate by the same token.

SunnyInGrimsby · 23/05/2019 19:40

OP, it's looking very good for the Brexit Party.

I've been busy getting out the vote today - some of my friends voted Remain but are now voting for the BP as they are so disgusted at how Parliament refuses to implement the referendum result.

The Remoaner who threw a milkshake over an elderly teller this morning will not help the Remain cause.

And still with the name calling

Is no one learning anything?

Daisychainsandglitter · 23/05/2019 19:53

I for one am hoping that all remainers come out in force today and stand up for the 48% of us!
