"Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals did see a number of Spanish nurses leaving the trust post the referendum, but this was always their intention as the purpose of their employment was to gain further skills and return to Spain. It believes its risks relate to staff that work in the hospital but are employed via an outsourcing arrangement. It has sought further information from the contractors to assess potential risk."

The trust has not received any intelligence from managers or staff themselves that would indicate a substantial increase in EU leavers irrespective of the outcome of the Brexit negotiations. It even held a Brexit briefing by an immigration lawyer."
