TM won't budge/compromise and she will blame JC for whatever comes next, be in No Deal, extension or Revoke.

prettybird · 07/04/2019 23:53

Seriously though, unfortunately I think C (because the EU being more nature and aren't vindictive) but with conditions (because of twats like JRM et al who are threatening to be obstructive), which may then mean A Sad (because the UK isn't being mature and will throw its toys out the pram - or even end up in "Accidental No Deal" because May forgets refuses to do the Order in Council to ensure that EP elections can be held on 23 May Angry)

MayhemNowCertain · 08/04/2019 04:32

If a long extension is vetoed by the EU, then it will be revoke before no deal

What happened to May's statement no deal is better than a bad deal?

EU will suffer less in the short term that UK if it is a no deal. The more extensions they agree to the stronger the signal it sends out that they are afraid for UK to leave the EU.

Never forget that UK is the 3rd largest donor to the EU. Had one of the weaker EU members that are net takers from the EU had wanted out Brussels would have said yes immediately.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 08/04/2019 04:55

No Deal - The leavers unicorn
Revoke - The Remainers unicorn

JustAnotherPoster00 · 08/04/2019 04:59

The more extensions they agree to the stronger the signal it sends out that they are afraid for UK to leave the EU.

Or could it be that unlike the UK government they’re unwilling to abandon 1 of their member states

I’m glad you post mayhem because the bollocks you come out with keeps me informed as to what the idiots are thinking

bellinisurge · 08/04/2019 06:13

Long extension. And people need to wake up to the fact that if it wasn't for the NI/Ireland border, we would have been out already. This is not truculence by the EU, this is our own folly in pretending before the referendum that the border wasn't a problem.
Here's my solution: virtual border in the sea. NI made a special economic area.

Mistigri · 08/04/2019 06:31

It looks like a long-extension sitting on the naughty step.

How the mighty are fallen.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 08/04/2019 09:14

Revoke - The Remainers unicorn

Grin
Bearbehind · 08/04/2019 09:18

No Deal - The leavers unicorn
Revoke - The Remainers unicorn

Which leaves ‘shit deal’ - pleases no one

Anybody else just past caring just do something
The uncertainty is bad for everyone including business
I am a remainer but please just make up your ruddy minds

MayhemNowCertain · 08/04/2019 10:06

The uncertainty is bad for everyone including business

True and not just in the UK. Businesses in other EU member states must be wondering too how they are meant to plan ahead.

A bit like a snowball that is pushed along the ground. As it collects more snow it becomes harder to push. Eventually it becomes too big and heavy to push in any direction - forwards as originally planned or backwards for fear that it was a mistake.

MayhemNowCertain · 08/04/2019 10:07

pretending before the referendum that the border wasn't a problem

Or at least research it before Article 50 was initiated.

notangelinajolie · 08/04/2019 10:08

B. I think parliament will try to force revoke because the only other option is no deal and they won't let that happen.

woman19 · 08/04/2019 10:11

Legally nothing has changed.
We leave, in hours, without a deal.
11pm Friday. 12th. April.

I think it'll be D. Something unsatisfactory which keeps the country nice and unstable and doesn't please anybody.

woman19 · 08/04/2019 10:23

It only takes a small number of determined people to wreak havoc
Shock mayhem Very insulting to leave voters to conflate them with those criminals?

Lucky we live in a broadly tolerant liberal democracy. Smile
Most British people do the absolute opposite of 'wreak havoc', every day.
Doubtless there might be some loud tutting. Wink

Blueowls · 08/04/2019 10:36

Revoke won't happen without a GE or further referendum, both of which would require a long extension.

I am almost certain we will end up with a long extension as I really don't think the EU are willing to allow No Deal to happen (despite their bluffs to the contrary). They'll insist on a long extension because ultimately they want the UK to stay, and a long extension would throw the doors open for a GE and/or confirmatory ref.

Some of the 48% who voted remain might not be too happy either

We are the 56% now. Smile Quite happy that so many are now seeing what a mess this 'brexit' was always going to be.

But EU is peaceful, so are those who support it. Peace is our 'red line'. Smile

I’m trying and failing to equate the perpetrators of the biggest terrorist atrocity ever perpetrated on the West with the rabble in Parliament Square the other week.

woman19 · 08/04/2019 11:27

No, I'm lost now too Tanith. Have a good day Mayhem.Smile

onalongsabbatical · 08/04/2019 11:40

Terrorist attacks in Paris. Yellow vests. Concert in Manchester being blown up. London the stabbing capital of the World. oh yes, all waving little blue flags with yellow stars on, silly me, I'd forgotten.
Or - are you on flipping glue?

bellinisurge · 08/04/2019 11:42

"Terrorist attacks in Paris. Yellow vests. Concert in Manchester being blown up. London the stabbing capital of the World. Does not sound peaceful to me."

And how shit was it before GFA? Which some Brexit idiots are happy to destroy. There were plenty of other Manchester bombs. You don't get to own grief over those terrible things.
