If it comes down to the wire. If the EU refuse an extension and our only choices are revoke or no deal which way do you think it will go?

This has been my central scenario for a while. I want to believe Revoke but I think it will be very close.

The80sweregreat · 29/03/2019 20:44

Down to the wire.
No idea at all.

HepzibahHumbug · 29/03/2019 20:48

So hard to choose. I'm a remainer throigh and through but revoke leaves us all so vulnerable, both domestically and internationally. I'm not sure which I would choose.
I would rather have TM's deal folloed by a people's vote with deal/remain as the options. That way we would know for sure which was most popular and could move forward and heal our country's division. The EU would also know for sure.

Bearbehind · 29/03/2019 20:51

Revoke

If we were serious about no deal it would have happened today.

MeganBacon · 29/03/2019 20:51

The reason I think it will come to this is because it gives each party the scope to blame the other for whatever the outcome is. Nothing to do with what's good for the country or there being a single grown up in the room. I hope I'm wrong.

HepzibahHumbug · 29/03/2019 21:23

MeganBacon
I'm sure you're right. That said, I think the indicative votes on Monday might just shift the emphasis from party pols to reality. Hoping so!
I honestly don't mind if we leave or stay now. We just need concensus backed by a people's vote. I feel that's the only way to make a decision and put this fucking nightmare to bed!!!

Alexalee · 29/03/2019 21:25

No deal
May's deal was terrible... if you would choose that then you understand nothing at all
Revoke would be 2nd choice

TheWomanin12B · 29/03/2019 21:27

Revoke is what I'd hope for.

No Deal is what I think they'll do. Bastards.

TheABC · 29/03/2019 21:27

Whatever happens, you will still fund Theresa May in the corner, cuddling her WA agreement. And hoping that the (4th, 5th, 6th time?), it will pass.

PortiaCastis · 29/03/2019 21:27

Revoke, no deal doesn't bear thinking about!

Ribbonsonabox · 29/03/2019 21:29

Id hope Revoke of course because it would do the least damage to peoples actual lives.

I fear they will pander to votes though and go with no deal.... even though peoples living standards will drop and we would see extreme poverty.... but all that matters is staying in power eh?!

The80sweregreat · 29/03/2019 21:38

May cuddling her W A like Gollum and his rings!

Alexalee · 29/03/2019 21:39

What on earth clap trap do you remainers believe....I would love to know what on earth you think will be so bad about a no deal... honestly please tell me

PJLove80 · 29/03/2019 21:41

The impact on the food industry will be enormous and food prices will rise and quickly amongst many many other impacts

OP posts:
Alexalee · 29/03/2019 21:42

Ok so food price will go up... no proof
And many many other things... elaborate?

Amongstthetallgrass · 29/03/2019 21:45

They will extend. It suits them for us not to leave. They will never find a suitable solution they all agree on.

We’re not going anywhere. Our government is a complete embarrassment at the cost of us. They should all be sacked.

Alexalee · 29/03/2019 21:45

Just like voting leave would lose 700k jobs... also didn't happen

The80sweregreat · 29/03/2019 21:46

Look, I'm no expert here but I've listened to hours of MPs pundits and ex politicians to know that no deal is a disaster!
Look it up. It would be bad.
Not just bad but very bad.
I'm hoping it doesn't happen,

Alexalee · 29/03/2019 21:47

If it was going to be that bad there would be specific examples and reasons... you give none... as the experts and mps also give none

The80sweregreat · 29/03/2019 21:48

Alex, just read lots of threads on here. Or the internet. No deal is a bad thing.

I agree. But a remainer was dealing with.

Amongstthetallgrass · 29/03/2019 21:51

It**

Alexalee · 29/03/2019 21:51

Yet you give no examples... many people keep saying it's so terrible but no substance to back it up... amazing how sheep follow because they dont like change

PJLove80 · 29/03/2019 21:51

There is an awful lot of information out there as to why it would be catastrophic so if with pretty much all industry leaders aligned on this, alongside economists etc and you are still thinking its ‘project fear’ nothing will change your mind.
