If there is a GE - who would you vote for?

Surely the end result in our political shambles will be a GE?

I have absolutely no sodding idea at all, I've always been a bit of a floating voter. Previously labour, lib dem and green .

As far as I can tell - no party is stating that sex segregated spaces are to be protected?

The first party to state that women and trans women have different and conflicting needs can have my vote. They don't even need to solve the problem, just acknowledge that there is one.

Labour very likely but depends on what manifesto they and the others run. Might consider lib dems or potentially greens. But I'm in a tory stronghold so he'll be elected even if he didn't actually run!!!

Not voting or spoiling your ballot is just idiotic, please don't think it will be any kind of wake up call to anyone. Naive at best.

ClaraMatilda · 14/03/2019 12:24

None of them, because none care about women's rights, or are even willing to say what a woman is.

Whisky2014 · 14/03/2019 12:24

Snp

upsideyerelephant · 14/03/2019 12:24

I'd vote Labour by the way, but I'm a pragmatist not an idealist. Just want public sector to be properly funded and food to be safe to eat.

Don't give a shit about anything else.

ShabbyAbby · 14/03/2019 12:48

Labour. Because we need the conservatives out. And for that reason alone.

I don't have much faith in labour, but my family have been hit incredibly hard by austerity and I don't know how we'll survive much more of the conservatives, tbh.

Hidingtonothing · 14/03/2019 13:39

BloggersNet so what would you suggest those of us who genuinely feel we can't vote for what any of the available candidates stand for do to avoid being 'idiotic'? None of them represent me and I have no belief in any of them to do a good job, I'm not trying to make any sort of point, I just can't vote for people/parties I don't believe in. I don't want to be in this position, but I am and I don't see how that makes me an idiot?

AnagramBixter · 14/03/2019 13:43

@bellinisurge yep

Cackleweb · 14/03/2019 13:59

Living in a bluest of blue Tory seats, I'll vote how I've always done...for the candidate most likely to unseat the Tory. With the caveat, that if I believed that UKIP, the BNP or The Brexit Party would win the seat, I would have to hold my nose and vote Conservative. I would immediately travel to my grandfather's grave and beg forgiveness.

Every general election the locals faithfully vote Conservative and then complain that 'nothing changes' and that they're ignored. Safe seats are ignored. Maybe, just maybe, if they voted differently, the policitians might actually pay them some attention. This goes for safe Labour seats too.

bellinisurge · 14/03/2019 14:37

@AnagramBixter , so you are an EDL supporter?

AnagramBixter · 14/03/2019 14:40

@bellinisurge Please read my original post and don't put words in my mouth.

bellinisurge · 14/03/2019 14:44

But if you vote for UKIP who are too right wing even for Farage and who are basically the EDL (Tommy Robinson being a key member), where's the nuance.

ShadyLady53 · 14/03/2019 14:46

Lib Dems. I loathe Corbyn and Diane Abbott and I also loathe Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees Mogg. I’m more of a centrist and feel that the two main parties have got caught up in petty things that don’t matter to us people who actually live in this country. It’s an absolute shambles. I was hopeful about the new party Chukka Umuna et al were starting but all’s gone quiet and a GE now would finish them off.

AnagramBixter · 14/03/2019 14:47

Do you know who Gerard Batten is?

bellinisurge · 14/03/2019 14:48

(This week's)?Leader of UKIP . Appointed Tommy Robinson.

madeyemoodysmum · 14/03/2019 14:56

God knows a labour are awful. Can’t vote for Jezza and I can’t stand Abbott’s

However Tory’s are also crap presently do I guess I either vote
Green
I quite like plaid cymru (soz spelling) but can I vote for them in the south east. Grin

Lunaballoon · 14/03/2019 15:01

Anything but Tory. I’ll never forgive them for leading us into the Brexit mess we’re now in.

Jackshouse · 14/03/2019 15:09

I really don’t know, depends on who/which parties stand. always vote but living in a stronghold it does not matter who I vote for. Probably spoil my vote.

surferjet · 14/03/2019 15:14

UKIP.

bellinisurge · 14/03/2019 15:20

UKIP? That are too extreme for Farage and who appointed Tommy Robinson as an advisor. Showing rather grubby colours there , @surferjet .

PositiveDiscipline · 14/03/2019 15:25

I couldn't bring myself to vote:

Conservative
Labour
Lib Dem
Green

So I don't know

Ivegotthree · 14/03/2019 15:27

Tory

Kazzyhoward · 14/03/2019 15:30

Hopefully we'd have a local independent. There's no way I could vote for Tory, Labour nor Libdems. I'd probably vote Labour if they got rid of the Corbyn idiot.

Generationrenter · 14/03/2019 15:34

Labour, but I don’t know if I could vote for JC. I hope if there’s another GE they get rid of him.
If not, maybe Lib Dem’s. Think Lib Dem’s are also the only ones anti-brexit.

Littlespaces · 14/03/2019 15:36

The party that has Revoke Article 50 as their number one top priority.

Littlespaces · 14/03/2019 15:36

Or re-join if we have left.
