Put it to the People March 23rd March

www.peoples-vote.uk/march

While it's cutting things rather fine, the next People's vote is on March 23rd. It's clear the politicians have no clue. They still can't agree on what brexit should look like. Time to take it back to the people.

To people who respond to tell me things like 'we won, get over it',
I'd like to thank you in advance for bumping the thread.

Im going tomorrow on my own, hoping to make friends! Pretty gutted that none of my friends and family are joining me, but it wont stop me!

wincy · 22/03/2019 21:06

If anyone can't go but would like their name added to a placard, PM me.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2019 21:16

That's lovely Wincy :)

How are you going to get it there LittleSpace? Will we be spotting you floating above the streets?

Colouringin good for you!

colouring pro - where are you coming from?

SweetestThing · 22/03/2019 21:24

83 names on my flag and rising.

So looking forward to tomorrow. Safe and smooth travels, everyone. Let's make some NOISE!!

rallytog1 · 22/03/2019 21:25

I'm sadly not going. I've been away for work all week, haven't seen my young dcs and we're too far away from London for it to be doable for them in a day.

Well done and thank you to all of you who are going.

wincy - I'll pm you!

I'm feeling quite emotional about the march even though I can't go. I feel very patriotic and proud seeing people stand up for our country and the people who live and work here. We may be a small island but we are part of something strong and cohesive and good that gives more than it takes. We are part of the whole. I've never felt European. I always considered myself English. But apparently I'm part Irish on my grandfathers side. No idea where in Ireland and no one to ask now but one day I'll do the research and find out. Whatever I am, mainly English, partly Irish, probably British, but mainly angry at brexit, I am for the first time ever feeling part of the whole. Typical of me that seeing as we are poised to leave it 🙄 I will be watching and cheering you all on tomorrow and wiping away tears of pride, frustration and hope.

CruCru · 22/03/2019 21:46

I’m looking forward to tomorrow.

Am bringing one friend - the other I think may not come. I know quite a few people who will be there (but unlikely to find them in the crowd).

Good idea to bring painkillers.

colouringinpro · 22/03/2019 21:53

Unescorted I'm planning to get the tube to Green Park and walk down to the memorial.

I really really wonder how many people they'll be. I was at the back of the last one and it was clear there was well over half a million.

LarkDescending · 22/03/2019 22:01

According to this Guardian piece the organisers have laid on some 200 coaches, compared to 105 in October.

Just wanted to give ginormous "Thanks" again to Star OhYouBadBadKitten Star for organising and curating this thread and to say "See you all tomorrow!"

@MrsT1984 We're bringing ear plugs and our friends have just said they are bringing whistles, in case the kids get into the spirit of things! If they are making the noise themselves they might enjoy it. Hope all goes well for you and your DS. Smile

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2019 23:08

I'm off to bed. Good night all, sleep well. For early risers, safe journeys. I'll start a new thread in the morning around 8am for us to post about our day on.

Ditherers - join us, it's going to be a day for you to help make history.

Night night x

Trekkingbeyond · 22/03/2019 23:11

Yes I've got loads of painkillers too! Whistle, must go and find my whistle...

Thank you so much Kitten for organising! Hope we can all post bits and bobs on here throughout the day for those who can't be with us. Stay safe everyone 🙏❣️

Trekkingbeyond · 22/03/2019 23:12

Last bit of special kudos for those travelling down from great distances, you are utterly awesome each and every one of you xx

JockTamsonsBairns · 22/03/2019 23:15

I can think of umpteen reasons for not coming tomorrow - too busy, washing loads to be done, it's too far, etc etc. But, I want to be part of this. I want to be able to say I did my bit. So, I'm coming from Darlington in the North East on the coach, just me and my ds. He's handmade a placard, and feels so strongly about this, so I owe it to him to do this. Coach is picking us up at 5.25am, so I'd better get some sleep. See you all tomorrow!

Goposie · 22/03/2019 23:17

Last March you could not exit the underground at Green Park. Might be easiest to go to Victoria and walk up to the start.

Trekkingbeyond · 22/03/2019 23:54

Jock you are your DS are totally amazing!! Well done and safe journey xx
