...We are not running down the clock.

Definitely not running down the clock.

Wouldn't do a thing like that.

Running down the clock.

Definitely not.

Sorry, can't talk. Too busy explaining that we are not running down the clock

....Absolutely NOT running down the clock.

I voted Remain. I have accepted that we will leave. I am prepared to accept WA. I will not accept No Deal. That is a fucking catastrophe that no sane person should welcome

This. And I don't think the WA is the disaster it's being made out to be because it is only the withdrawal agreement - not the arrangements for the future relationship. It's all to play for.

I understand that there was a vote and stand by my statement of MPs losing their jobs if they went against their constituents, Churchill or not.

Then I think you'd still be wrong. Deadwood Redwood's Wokingham Constituency voted Remain, but he still got returned at the last election.

If I were TM I would be running down the clock all right. I’d run it down until it was my deal or no deal and then if my deal didn’t get accepted (which seems to be the least worst shutstorm) I would revoke A50, lock myself away with a large bottle of gin, make an appointment to see the Queen and resign. I would then hold a press conference and let all my so called colleagues in parliament have both barrels about the lies and shit they have pulled and point out that in all conscience I could not be responsible for the associated economic hardship that will be inevitable and the potential breakdown of the GFA. Then I would call Richard Branson (remainer) and ask to borrow his island and disappear for a few months.

I would have so much respect for her if she did that.

My other daydream is the Queen calling them all in and banging some heads together, making the Brexiteers admit to their lies in public and throwing them into the Tower.

Then I usually wake up sadly.

Peridot for Primeminister.

Sounds like a plan. After all they don't have one.

Unfortunately it will be pretty disastrous. Although food, medicines, ferries and flights need not be an issue there will be a massive 'cat fight' in parliament and at the point where proper rational discussions will be vital it will simply be a bunfight at the 'not OK corral'. The UK needs strong focused leadership, something which is totally lacking, and there will be no sign of it for many months.
Don't forget, there is still no consensus in the UK as to what a 'Brexit' actually is.
