Just a straw poll, I'm really not after a bunfight (although I appreciate I may get one anyway).

How did you vote in the 2016 Referendum, and what is currently your favoured option of the ones available?

Remain
Revoke
Get these bloody idiot tories out.

Theworldisfullofgs · 26/01/2019 11:13

Remain
Revoke
Peoples vote if we have to.

Reform parliament. Get rid of most of them.

BreakWindandFire · 26/01/2019 12:51

Voted Remain.
Would like to Remain, but accept that won't happen.

Any deal is better than No Deal.

BeyondShattered · 26/01/2019 12:52

Remain

And as we're going with ideal scenario... WA, a bit of time, and then sensible weighing up of the pros and cons leading to a decision to remain after all, which brexiteers accept is the best one.

Ha, imagine how likely that would be! Grin

I don't think revoking now would be a good outcome unfortunately, cause of the potential for civil unrest.

BobDobbs · 26/01/2019 18:16

I voted remain. Ideally I would like to revoke but I would be a bit worried that it might be construed as undemocratic, especially by certain sections of the press.

My second choice would be a people's vote, but I think that 'no deal' shouldn't be an option. The choice should be revoke vs WA vs possibly a Norway style deal.

Third choice would be a Norway type deal, followed by WA, followed a long long way down by no deal.

HateIsNotGood · 26/01/2019 18:43

Another option:

The other EU 27 States hold a referendum asking their electorates Do You Want the UK to Remain - Yes or No?

KennDodd · 26/01/2019 19:10

Voted Remain

Now want I time machine to take us back to 2015 and have David Cameron not win the GE. Any other mainstream party would be better, anything to have kept him out of number 10 and stopped him unleashing this Brexit hell on us.

If I can't have that Norway +++ I know this would leave us with 'no say' but look at who we keep electing to the EU, UKIP are so damaging to our interests I think we're better off with no MEPs.

Yaralie · 26/01/2019 19:32

Revoke is the only sane move.

This brexit nonsense has gone on long enough. We now know that the referendum was fraudulent, that huge damage has already been done to our economy, our social fabric and our standing in the world and any brexit will leave us much worse off.

It was only ever about pandering to the extreme right wing of the Tory party and we can surely see that the more you concede to their lunacy, the more extreme their demands become.

We've had enough. REVOKE ARTICLE 50 NOW.

Tanith · 27/01/2019 07:53

Remain
Revoke

I’d like to see the referendum declared null and void.

noodlenosefraggle · 27/01/2019 10:00

That is the only sane thing to do, and maybe offer another referendum in 5 years time, with no glib assumptions that remain will win and the benefit of hindsight. We could then have a genuine discussion and a review of the options. The problem is that neither of the main parties have said they will do that, so it's fantasy land. Maybe it coukd be kicked into the long grass by the Cooper amendment, but I suspect what will happen is an amendment will be passed and all the brexiteers will vote for the WA.

whenthewhistleblows · 27/01/2019 10:04

Remain

BrexitDestruction · 27/01/2019 10:14

Revoke.

They've had their chance and we are rapidly heading for disaster. I'd still be upset if Brexit had been planned for properly, but would have accepted it. The fact is, they triggered Article 50 without a plan and still can't agree. Its absolutely criminal and I doubt the damage already done will ever be repaired.

I think the EU are probably better off without us though. They can crack on once we are out.

BrexitDestruction · 27/01/2019 10:15

^forgot. Obviously, I voted Remain as I feared all this would happen.

alphacentauri · 27/01/2019 16:05

Remain
Revoke

The implications of Brexit have just not been thought out properly and it’s a recipe for disaster. A hard Brexit would damage the country for decades to come. What sane person wants to see that? The politicians advocating a hard Brexit, ought to be ashamed of themselves justifying this impending disaster as “The will of the People”.

Shiftymake · 27/01/2019 16:14

Remain vote- Most certainly: Revoke and never put us through this mess ever again. Norway deal at a push.

No deal is an absolute no.

PatPhoenix · 27/01/2019 22:38

I believe that the Leave campaign had a fraudulent element and was funded illegally. I also don't think that 17.4 million votes were produced purely by dirty money. Farage was voted top of the South East MEP lists for years and years and years, with Hannan at number 3. This has been a long time coming. That's why I don't think Revoke is a realistic option, or at least I would take the WA over it. I also think the PV will result most likely in a very close vote for Remain, which gets us absolutely nowhere in terms of division. It's the royal road to ND, which is the one I want to avoid.

In a situation where you are thrashing around in a sewer, you have to fish out the most solid turd you can find.

Satsumaeater · 28/01/2019 18:29

Remain. I am not anti the WA like everyone else because it is the WITHDRAWAL deal, not the future deal and it was all to play for.

However, I'd prefer revoke.
