Write to your MP and let them know if you want the UK to stay in the Single Market/Customs Union or remain in the EU.

Let them know that you will hold them personally responsible if the UK leaves with No Deal or a Bad Deal.

Let them know you will not tolerate the Good Friday Agreement breaking down and peace in Northern Ireland being put at risk.

If you are a Labour party supporter or potential voter let them know that you want them to come out in favour of SM/CU or Remain - NOW.

Sign the petitions (I can link if you like) demanding a People's Vote and get ready to write to the PM on 9th November.

Don't report this to MNHQ and ask for it to be put in the Brexit topic - it's a genuine AIBU and too important to be hidden away.

The people did indeed speak in 2016, half of them were listened to. Now we need to be listened to again.

@time4chocolate

Though i don't agree with this sort of nepotism within the EU, its hardly unique! is it really any different than May appointing B.Johnson to FS, a man wholly unsuited to the role with zero experience of international relations at any level?

Or Gavin Williams as DS, in charge of our Nuclear deterrent? a former transport under sec and party whip!

What enquiry have we had into these appointments? or indeed where is your indignation at our own PM's behaviour?

One aspect of the EU parliament system is that having 27 countries with equal voting rights but with considerable diversity of view, from the newer Eastern countries, through Germany and to Spain etc, any legislation is likely to be pretty well balanced, unlike UK Parliament who can be more single minded and through the quirks of the system being different to the way the EU works unpopular laws can be 'forced' through.
This is before we get to the concept of Henry V111 powers which can be invoked in an 'emergency' where ministers can change laws almost 'at will', with hardly any scrutiny.

Well I am relieved to see he is not on there (yet).

Jasjas1973. That’s a bit of whataboutery. The EU is supposed to be all about transparency and democracy but that’s clearly not what happened here.

But they can also be reversed and changed/amended at 5 yearly intervals.

We all know about it & his career is almost certainly finished in regard to future promotion.

Unlike BJ and Williamson who both could go on to become PM's

What exactly is the point about being so anti EU for its undemocratic practises when you are soooo content with falling back on to our own even worse ones? illogical.

I wrote to mine about a second referendum. He said he will not support a second referendum and that most people he had spoken to said they just want us to get on with it and leave.
