Ooh!! Shock

JuliaSevern · 10/10/2018 21:29

Deep joy.

bellinisurge · 10/10/2018 21:58

Surely that's just a complete coincidence @99RedBalloonsFloating . And nothing to do with Brexit.

KennDodd · 10/10/2018 22:10

Well I might apply, considering I'm losing my job because of fucking Brexit. And look, they say - These are exciting and challenging opportunities

So we can add civil unrest to the list of Brexit 'benefits' . Still at least Putin is happy.

99RedBalloonsFloating · 10/10/2018 22:21

@KennDodd, also the creation of at least three new jobs ;)

AND, it may be a permanent posting!

Length of employment 9 months (to June 2019), with the possibility of extension or permanency

Bloody hell.

99RedBalloonsFloating · 10/10/2018 22:24

@bellinisurge

oh yes, sorry, EU Exit definitely has nothing at all to do with Brexit Wink

Imagine the interview 'can you give me an example of a time when you effectively managed a team through societal breakdown?'

KennDodd · 10/10/2018 22:35

Any leavers about who want to come on and tell us all how great its going to be?

KennDodd · 10/10/2018 22:40

Please publicise

Perhaps the UK will have a second civil war. I hope not, but certainly some very strong feelings are simmering.
As usual most people, irrespective of how they vote on this issue, will want to keep their family out of any violence.

There are some fanatics on both sides who are, unfortunately, prepared to do just about anything to "win". Hopefully the vitriol often voiced on these boards are not indicative of real physical violence to come, but I am not so sure.

StealthPolarBear · 11/10/2018 07:49

Maybe some of the staff who worked on the walking dead would be perfect

Heatherjayne1972 · 11/10/2018 07:56

There are no words!
Surely if the government are preparing for civil unrest that’s the moment someone somewhere says
‘Enough’

AlexaShutUp · 11/10/2018 07:57

I love the way that Bellini appears to tell us that this is all just coincidence and nothing to do with Brexit. A classic example of how leavers like to ignore the obvious facts when they don't fit with the Brexit rhetoric.

AlexaShutUp · 11/10/2018 08:00

Heather, I have been waiting for someone to say Enough for the past two years. Sadly, I've concluded that all of our leaders are simply too cowardly to speak up.

On both sides of the house, they value their own careers and short-term electoral success more than they care about the future of this country.

user187656748 · 11/10/2018 08:07

Hang on - bellini is the most active person on the prepare boards. She is not a brexit denier - quite the opposite!

user187656748 · 11/10/2018 08:07

prepper boards

StealthPolarBear · 11/10/2018 08:08

Bellini was being sarcastic.
I worry about the public health aspects of brexit.

user187656748 · 11/10/2018 08:12

I worry about all aspects of brexit. The reality is though that this looks like its going to happen and we are probably looking at a hard brexit. My focus is inwards at this stage. I am not going to be able to persuade the government to sacrifice their position and do what is right for the good of the country. They are too concerned about being in power. I suspect this would have been the same whoever was in power when this happened.

As a result all I can do is ensure that my own family is as prepared as we can possibly be for any eventuality.

onedayiwillmissthis · 11/10/2018 08:13

If the outcome of the referendum had been accepted and thenacted upon with the full support of our government and civil service instead of what appears to be a negative, sullen disapproval that verges on sabotage then we would not be in such a position where many in our population feel concerned.

The threat of any civil unrest will be as a consequence of the way our government has failed to prepare and organise, instead appearing to hope that they won't actually have to fullfil their promise to the electorate.

StealthPolarBear · 11/10/2018 08:14

What rot. Nice try though

user187656748 · 11/10/2018 08:16

Haha oneday. That's just rubbish.

Good username though. I suspect one day (in April/May of next year) you'll be missing all sorts of things... bread, cheese, milk for a start

KennDodd · 11/10/2018 08:21

@onedayiwillmissthis
Do you mean, for example, if the government and people of NI had happily have ripped up the GFA and welcomed a hard border things would have been much better? Or if people like me had been happy about losing my job and not complained it would all have been great?

Can I ask, what would you personally sacrifice for Brexit? Would you complainingly lost your job and your home?

AlexaShutUp · 11/10/2018 08:22

bellini is the most active person on the prepare boards. She is not a brexit denier - quite the opposite!

Ah, well in that case, I retract my comment! Sorry bellini!

StealthPolarBear · 11/10/2018 08:24

Ken I'm really sorry to hear that.
