How can anyone defend TM right now?

And I ask that as a life long Tory voter

  • She repeatedly, categorically ruled out having a GE now, then completely u-turned
  • she is too spineless to participate in tv debates
  • she won't deny triple lock pensions will be scrapped
  • she won't deny the freeze on tax hikes will be scrapped
  • her 'red line' is immigration, which if you ask most Leavers, wasn't their 'red line'
  • she is hell bent on screwing the economy to prove a point
  • her Brexit team cannot answer even the most basic questions
  • she showed her petticoat to Trump and even he has said the EU will come first
  • she is operating under some kind of delusion that EU agencies can remain in what will be a non EU country.

Really, who in their right mind would vote for her?

Life long labour voters who are considering now voting Tory blow my mind.

Seriously, what was ever so bad about the EU that makes it worth all this?

I guess left wing extremists think all Tories are secret BNP or NF members

Anon1234567890 · 30/04/2017 17:56

Many orange trees can be grown in the UK, under cover such as in a conservatory or greenhouse. They are not hard trees to grow in the UK as long as they are looked after properly eg Jaffa oranges, Navel oranges and Blood oranges.

TheElementsSong · 30/04/2017 17:56

PC robot and a lot of people like politicians with a personality. It seems normal.

Well, I am just delighted to hear that we have at least one concrete outcome for Brexit Britain. that it will be normal and in fact a sign of a great personality to refer to our fellow human beings as 'picaninnies' with 'water-melon smiles' - and those who object ought to be PC robots.

I can hardly wait!

Anon1234567890 · 30/04/2017 17:57

Guess what we are even growing grapes now and making our own wine.

BrexshitMeansBrexshit · 30/04/2017 17:57

I presume Anon has her own orangery in her wealthy elisit home.

BrexshitMeansBrexshit · 30/04/2017 17:59

*elitist !

BrexshitMeansBrexshit · 30/04/2017 18:01

Guess what we are even growing grapes now and making our own wine.

yes, but have you seen the price of it?
Furrther confirmation that Anon must be a member of the elite.

BrexshitMeansBrexshit · 30/04/2017 18:03

Plus, I don't think we'll be able to produce enough wine to satisfy the whole UK market. (Maybe non-PC Anon has her own vineyard and doesn't give a fuck abut ordinary, working wine-drinkers.)

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 30/04/2017 18:04

I AM NOT LEFT WING

I USUALLY VOTE TORY

FOR FUCKS SAKE HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES!!!!!

Bearbehind · 30/04/2017 18:04

It's well seen that anon is completely unable to articulate why being part of the EU is such an issue, other than it sounds big and clever to say it is Hmm

OP posts:
RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 30/04/2017 18:04

Not voting tory this time...look what the fuckwits have done to the education system

prettybird · 30/04/2017 18:10

Growing oranges under cover is such an effective way to farm Hmm

By that argument, we could probably grow bananas (bendy ones of course, because the EU had banned them Wink) under cover.

Do you think Anon can extend her google search and point to any commercial UK orange farmers who have had their markets constrained by the EU flooding the market with their fair weather citrus fruits Grin?

TheElementsSong · 30/04/2017 18:15

Why are you metropolitan liberal elites wibbling on about wine and oranges? You should all be proud to subsist on turnips and river water!

prettybird · 30/04/2017 18:23

And I thought the country was "too full" to accommodate more of those nasty immigrants (although I know Scotland needs them) - so where are all these greenhouses going to go? Confused

BTW: hope Anon doesn't like red wine. English wines are predominantly white as those are the only grapes which thrive in our climate. But they do make good bubbly at a price WineGrin

Anon1234567890 · 30/04/2017 18:27

I dont think the EU is the only place in the world that makes wine. I should know I drink enough of it.

But lols aside, the serious question of anon is completely unable to articulate why being part of the EU is such an issue.

Myself and many posters on many threads have answered this many times, you just dont like the answers. (in no order) We dont want to be part of an ever closer union, we dont want an EU army, we dont want FOM, we dont want to be ruled from the ECJ, we dont want want to make budget contributions, we dont want to be told who we have free trade deals with, we dont want a common currency... its a long list.

Now you can go through that list and explain why any of those things is a good thing but that is the gilded cage argument. We want the UK to stand or fall on our own two feet. Maybe its the island mentality created over thousands of years but its how we feel.

And I would like to personally add to that list that I think the UK was holding the EU back, it needs to try and achieve its goal of a superstate. Maybe it will work maybe not but the UK was stopping it from trying.

TheElementsSong · 30/04/2017 18:31

And we want multiple orgasms!

prettybird · 30/04/2017 18:35

Funny that Confused. I manage to drink plenty of South African wine - indeed, dh and I have a wee business selling it (it's fantastic value for its quality) despite the UK still being in the EU.

Bearbehind · 30/04/2017 18:36

anon it's clear you're brain washed by the May robotic mantras.

I can't imagine being so unquestioning I'd let this pass me by but if you think the path we're on is a good one then there is no point in trying to convince you otherwise.

I pretty much guarantee in 12 months from now the landscape is going to be very different and a lot of people will be denyng their gung-ho attitude of today.

How can you have any respect for, or confidence in, someone who repeatedly denies the facts, such as parallel talks on trade or location of EU agencies, because she think it makes her look 'strong and stable' even when all around, including those who are actually in charge of negotiations, are saying she is from a different galaxy?

Yeah the bastards, they have educated more children in good schools. The bastards.

prettybird I prefer white wine, thanks for asking but haven't been able to afford a glass of bubbly for many a year (actually think it was a rich man who bought me it, cant remember I was drunk).

Not sure why everyone is fixated on oranges now, unless its to side step the point I made. We had oranges before the Eu and we will have them after. The idea that we have fresh fruit from all over the world available 365 days a year is very damaging to the environment and British farmers. Their is nothing Orwellian about eating in season locally produced fruit and veg.

Thats a good point, what makes you think the UK wont have South African wine when we are out of the EU?

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 30/04/2017 18:47

No comment regarding me voting tory i see

Lets see if i can help you even further anon

My mum voted tory all her life ....not a racist cunt

My dad votes tory.....not a racist cunt

My dh votes tory.....not a racist cunt

Can you see where i am going with this ?

I am going to assume that you cant as you think that the complete debacle of the new GCSE grading system is a tory success story

prettybird · 30/04/2017 18:49

The point is that the EU wasn't stopping us buying from (or selling to) South Africa.

You do realise that Germany sells more to India than we do? Why might that be? Hmm

You were the one that brought up that local farmers producing apples and oranges Confused

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 30/04/2017 18:49

If it helps i dont like oranges

Do quite like wine though

Anon1234567890 · 30/04/2017 19:01

Well I prefer to say I think she has more sensible ideas than JC is putting forward. Maybe I am unusual but when I back someone I put all my chips on their number. Seems I am not alone.

This thread is about defending TM and that's what I am trying to do because I believe in her and agree with a lot (probably not all) of her ideas.

The real question then is why are JCs ideas more realistic?

I pretty much guarantee in 12 months from now the landscape is going to be very different Your probably right however I will probably give TM the full 5 years before I judge her. And yes its possible I could reject her then and vote Labour, I was a TB convert for a short time, back in the day.

How can you have any respect for, or confidence in, someone who repeatedly denies the facts, such as parallel talks on trade or location of EU agencies, because she think it makes her look 'strong and stable' even when all around, including those who are actually in charge of negotiations, are saying she is from a different galaxy?

Ok you have made a serious point. Can I answer with a question! You are very very skeptical about UK politicians and quite openly call some of them liars and idiots. But when it comes to EU politicians you seem to treat their word as gospel. Why?

EU politicians are as corrupt and self serving or not as any other politician in the world. Yet you decry TM and blindly treat Junckers word as written in tablets of stone coming down from Mount Sinai. I dont get it?

On the issue of parallel talks I dont think the EU disagree with us its all a matter of spin, we agree our Brexit bill at the start but it will be meaningless until we agree the trade deal because nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. Its called a negotiation, and we have to agree because the EU does not dictate the terms.

I haven't a clue what you are talking about. I have made no comment about you voting Tory and have called no one a racist cunt. So WTF? Apologies please.

I am going to assume that you cant as you think that the complete debacle of the new GCSE grading system is a tory success story I didn't say it was a success, but I do think it is going in the right direction.

The point is that the EU wasn't stopping us buying from (or selling to) South Africa I never said they did.

You do realise that Germany sells more to India than we do? What has that got to do with us leaving the EU?
