Europe's Leading Statesman Gives 'Em Hell

Farage addresses the European Parliament after historic Brexit vote.

He says "most of you have never had a real job in your lives" and they all nod in agreement. Farage says "the little people defied the multinationals" and the multinationals sadly agree.

As Farage speaks to the world, puppets panic, stooges are stunned, elitists take a lie down, globalists are gobsmacked and the people party.

At the end of Farage's speech, the Establishment broadcast their pre-recorded booing tape in order to drown out the roar of defiance of the British people.

After Farage, Marine Le Pen speaks and says that the Brexit vote is the biggest event in Europe since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

I am going to go fucking mad if I see one more leaver accusing remainders of calling them racist.

  1. The man who LED the campaign is a well known racist. HE made the campaign racist. We are just pointing out the obvious
  1. while you pay not be racist, there are thick people all over the television saying they voted Brexit to get rid of the Polish.
  1. There are racist attacks all over out country and people all over MN sharing experiences of being told to "go home"

Remainers didn;t make this about race. The Brexit campaign did. And that might not be YOUR shared opinion, but of those 17 million people you are absolutely naive if you think at least half of those did not think this was about immigration because it was.

It was not about economics

there is not an economist on planet earth, nor a financial institution, nor a politician (apart from the racists) or anyone at all who gave across any economic reason why Brexit was best fro Britain. The opposite in fact.

This was about one thing in the main. "Fuck you EU, we are better off without you, better off alone, and better off without all the foreigners in general"

National pride, but a pride misplaced.

I am not calling everyone racist. I am saying that racial prejudice and prejudice against migrants was used as a manipulative tool against the masses.

user1467101855 · 28/06/2016 14:09

And if you align yourself with racists.don't be surprised if people think you might be a bit racist.

claig · 28/06/2016 14:10

We had an irresponsible political class who tred to scare the public about their pensions and the risks of war in Europe in order to win the vote.

We had on Channel 4 News yesterday a woman given air time who said that at a traffic light, she was called the P word in a road rage type incident and she "thinks" it is a result of the Brexit vote situation.

I think this is irresponsible as it creates fear and is unsubstantiated and it will affect our tourist industry if the media carries reports like this without real proof of what they are about.

OP posts:
claig · 28/06/2016 14:12

'And if you align yourself with racists.'

But I don't think that Farage is racist. Just because Cameron said that UKIP supporters were "closet racists and fruitcakes" doesn't mean it is true, just like so much of Project Fear too.

OP posts:
user1467101855 · 28/06/2016 14:20

Who cares what you think? If it walks like a duck.....

"Project Fear" actually means that people warned you of the shitty things that are happening right now, and you were too stupid to listen.

claig · 28/06/2016 14:20

'while you pay not be racist, there are thick people all over the television saying they voted Brexit to get rid of the Polish.'

I agree with you on that. We have seen that on TV. There are racist people and if the media had interviewed the same people before Thursday, they would probably have said the same thing.

Usually, the media behaves responsibly and does not air racist views of racist people. During this referendum campaign, they have particularly highlighted racism, the Mayor of London called the Leave campaign "Project Hate" which was part of the Remain campaign's accusations of racism in the Leave Campaign, and now that the referendum was lost, the media are again reporting on racism and implicitly tying it to the Brexit vote.

Claig

Racist is not the word. I don't think there even is a word for it, but I see it as racist because it is exactly what Hitler did with the Jews in the 40s. convincing the general population that another element of the population was responsible, subtly, then more overtly - for their misfortunes in life.

It is about superiority.

you don't see Mexicans trying to build a wall to keep Americans out or Lithuanians campaigning to keep us out. It is a subtle message that we are better, more valuable, that they are worse.

Maybe racist is the wrong word, or maybe not.

janieblaye · 28/06/2016 14:30

Although I am glad this morning in a way to hear that prick, Farrage, addessing the MEPs as the goady, fascist, superior fucker that he is in a way because even 50% of the people who back him must be face palming at how much worse he is making things.

claig · 28/06/2016 14:31

Another Channel 4 News thing. They report on the English football hooligans in France and they report their racist remarks, and then they ask some of them how they voted in teh Referendum and they report their chants of "F Off Europe, we voted out".

By doing this, they tie the Out vote with racism. I think it is irresponsible of the media to do this, to create fear, to give airtime to yobs and racists, and to link racism to the biggest democratic vote in our history which has had the seismic effect of us leaving the EU and shaking markets around the world. As Le Pen said "it is the biggest event in Europe since the fall of the Berlin Wall" and I think the media class and political class should act responsibly in discussing what "the plan" is, why Cameron never had a "plan" and what this will mean for everyone, here, in Europe and across the world rather than giving air time to yobs and racists.

Translation of op title: leading rich white British male shows off all the worst of that tribe to the whole of Europe.

Christ this is an embarassing time to be British.

janieblaye · 28/06/2016 14:36

you think it's better they DON'T give airtime to these people?

I'd rather know they were there thanks

Gives us an awareness and a chance to fight against it

He sounds like the biggest bore in your local pub.

'Nyah nyah, told you all I'd fuck the UK up and you laughed, but I jolly well did it!'

After Farage, Marine Le Pen speaks and says that the Brexit vote is the biggest event in Europe since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

"Have nationalism and xenophobia become more socially acceptable in France because of Marine Le Pen, or vice versa?
And yet, Marine Le Pen’s agenda remains deeply nationalistic and xenophobic. Among the policy proposals she has adapted from her father’s are drastic limits on immigration, a prompt exit from the euro zone, and what she euphemistically calls “national priority,” a set of discriminatory measures against non-nationals. To this list, she has added some ideas of her own, such as impelling legal residents who’ve been unemployed for at least six months to return to their country of origin, regardless of their ties in France. In a country beset by high unemployment, rising anti–European Union sentiment, and unrelenting multicultural tensions, these measures have struck a chord with the public. They have also been instrumental to Le Pen’s efforts to cast herself as the last champion of French democracy—which in her telling is under attack from without by the “European Soviet Union” and from within by a “massive” influx of Muslim immigrants."

Are these things good then in your opinion OP Hmm?

claig · 28/06/2016 14:42

'you think it's better they DON'T give airtime to these people?'

Yes, because I think it is interfering in our democratic political system by helping Project Fear and the false narrative of the mayor of London in calling some of the Leave campaign, Project Hate.

I think the media are not being impartial and are contributing to Project Fear which increases fear and potentially harms our tourism industry as well when we all know that there are racists and hooligans etc but don't need to see them being linked to the largest democratic vote in British history where the people ignored the Establishment, Cameron, Corbyn, Sturgeon, the unions, the CBI, te IMF, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, the Bank of England etc etc and decided to vote out.

The media should be interviewing the political class to ask them what the "plan" is after the biggest event in British politics for over a century.

Claig: As Le Pen said..."

Do you really not see how you come across as a fascist, racist and hate-merchant? Honestly? Is this the kind of human you really want to be? I feel so sad for you.

claig · 28/06/2016 14:46

'Are these things good then in your opinion OP'

No I don't think they are good.

OP posts:

'Do you really not see how you come across as a fascist, racist and hate-merchant?'

No I don't because I am not one. Le Pen will possibly be the next President of France. What Le Pen says is important which is why she got to speak in the EU Parliament and what she said about Brexit and freedom and it being the "biggest event in Europe since the fall of the Berlin Wall" is true.

janieblaye · 28/06/2016 14:50

I literally do not understand one single rational argument for leaving the EU.

So irrational ones were created.

claig · 28/06/2016 14:52

Whisky2014, there are people on this thread wishing extreme ill on people, stuff I wouldn't even repeat it is so disgusting, and on other threads too, where they wish heart attacks or other things on people. That is disgusting in my opinion and is hate. All that crap should be removed from the boards. I think those people must be ill to think such things.

OP posts:
claig · 28/06/2016 14:54

'I literally do not understand one single rational argument for leaving the EU.'

Do you not understand the importance of national sovereignty, of the people having sovereignty and to be able to sack their own lawmakers?

That is what Farage's and Le Pen's speeches were all about. There was no racism or hate in those speeches.

Sorry, in a rush, so haven't read all the posts on this this.

For better or worse, we are on our way out of the EU. It is now vital for our future leaders to get as good a deal with the EU as we can.

It's necessary for whoever is responsible for these tricky negotiations to distance themselves from Farage. Here is a guy who delights in crowing about his victory, and insulting other members of the EU parliament.

You can get so far with arrogance and appeals to the darker side of human nature - winning votes for example. But in delicate negotiations on trade etc., a different approach is necessary - and I strongly suspect that Nigel Farage hasn't got one. The negotiations will not be easy. It will require statesmen of Churchillian proportions, and I'm not sure we have any around at the moment.
