OP posts:

Nigelfarage on itv already back tracking on promise to spend £350m in the nhs
That didn't take long!

Peppatina · 24/06/2016 06:50

I'm pretty sure Nigel doesn't get any day in where that money will be spent.

Or did I miss him being made prime minister?

ohdogoaway · 24/06/2016 06:50

Don't think it's nasty to express dismay - I think a lot of labour voters who voted leave will have to face what they have done: voted for s right wing element of a right wing party. Do they really think Gove Farage et al give a shiny Shite about them ?

Badders123 · 24/06/2016 06:52

Watch this space!!!!
I can believe that people will vote for anything now Sad

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 06:53

Nigel has no money - he cannot promise to spend or withhold money he does not have and has no authority over the spending of

Nigel is not even a Westminster MP

You didn't honestly believe that Nigel had £350 million did you?
Do you understand who controls and sets the UK's budget? It ain't Nigel

Peppatina · 24/06/2016 06:53

I don't think it's nasty to express dismay at all.

I think it's nasty to express hatred and tell someone how poor, racist and stupid they must be because they disagree with you.

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 06:54

Hammond just called the EU member countries 'our EU neighbours

Bliss.

At last - an understanding that these are our EU competitors

Pangurban1 · 24/06/2016 06:56

Disentanglement won't happen for 2 years, right? None of Cameron's benefit negotiations will happen now.

If someone has financial security, private healthcare, private school etc, it would be interesting to see what happens. Looking at it from a distance of course. If someone will be affected by any ill effects, it will be different.

GoodbyeBoleyn · 24/06/2016 06:57

Fact: the £ has fallen. All imports will be equally more expensive and what little we export will have lower value.

Please don't say this is a good day for the poor.

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 06:59

The £ will rise. Our exports will be cheaper so they will be more affordable meaning our balance of trade will start to move out of deficit.

There is more than one way of looking at a half empty/full glass

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 07:00

We can make our own laws now. Parliament could do that tomorrow - it is the will of the people.

Pangurban1 · 24/06/2016 07:01

After being told how untrustworthy Osborne and Cameron are, how will the Brexit Cons suddenly give support to the leadership?

Also as Steve Hilton said he spinned bull for them, how can anyone now trust the Cons? Mind you, it made clear you couldn't trust Steve Hilton.

Pangurban1 · 24/06/2016 07:04

It would be interesting who would end up in Gov't if the general elections was held like this.

EhBeeSeeDee · 24/06/2016 07:07

All you arseholes who've ruined our country: fucking well done. One island against the whole of Europe. Dip shits.

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 07:08

Pangurban

There are around 145 Eurosceptic Tory MPs who declared for the Leave campaign about half the Tory party. We effectively have a Brexit Tory Government in waiting and within those numbers are people who now the EU inside out and who have campaigned against it for years and who are well-placed to get any deal we need from the EU - which we don't.

EhBeeSeeDee · 24/06/2016 07:09

We can make our own laws now. Parliament could do that tomorrow - it is the will of the people.

God almighty. That's what I'm afraid of. There go workers rights...

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 07:11

Did you understand what the referendum question was?

That the UK should stay in the EU, not Europe.

Getting the UK out of europe would require a life-eliiinating seismic activity of such strength to render the UK free of the European continental plate that the last thing we would be worrying about would be the EU.

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 07:13

Carry on Remainers. Whip yourselves up into frenzy as you continue to believe the pro-EU propaganda that suggested the Emperor actually had some clothes.

Then come back on here in a months time and see if your pessimism has been justified

Jemmima · 24/06/2016 07:14

Mmmmm

UK Votes to Leave the EU
SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 07:15

I'm off to bed. I haven't slept since 8am yesterday. Knackered.

I will wake up in a sovereign country.

Bliss

Lynnm63 · 24/06/2016 07:38

FFS if Dave or Gideon or Boris try to erode your rights you can vote them out in 2020 or sooner. If junker or van rompey or whatever the fuck his name is tried it you can't. I'm not saying it's rainbows and unicorns but at least we get to decide if we keep supporting the people who make our laws.

time4chocolate · 24/06/2016 07:40

I think before everyone lays into the leavers we need to just take stock of the situation.

  1. Just over half the country voted leave, this does not mean half the population are racist or anti immigrants. My vote for out was most definitely not a vote for Farage, far from it (he has jumped on the leave bandwagon and tarred us all with his brush). If you have a leader who is supportive of brexit taking us through the next stage but without all the derogatory aspects of UKIP then maybe this might be the demise of UKIP.
  2. Maybe the leavers when they voted were thinking of giving control of our Country back to the next generations (our children) so that they can make the rules for their own country (and not be dictated to by some unelected person in Brussels) and they will have the power to demand change via the fair election process that we have in this country.
  3. With regard to £, you only have to sneeze loudly and it gets devalued, we need to give it time and not panic (yet).
  4. Let's just see what other EU countries think of Brussels in light of what we have shown them in last 24hrs before we shout about what a screaming disaster it is to leave (we may be the first country to leave but we won't be the last)

whatever way this panned out there was going to be huge disappointment for a large proportion of the country but it is an example of a fully democratic country and what a lot of other Countries can only dream of.

GruffaloPants · 24/06/2016 07:56

Yes to Jemmima.

Still at least £350 million a week for the NHS. Right? Right?

WalrusGumboot · 24/06/2016 08:01

All the panicking on here won't help the pound. Have a little faith!
