I am shocked, but also very happy. Wow.

OP posts:
MUjunkie · 24/06/2016 05:15

It's been neck and neck all night...so therefore 50% of the population are idiots and racist? Just because they don't agree with your opinion?

MUjunkie · 24/06/2016 05:16

This not to OP obviously

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 05:16

You will now learn that the EU was the biggest confidence trick ever perpetrated on a population.

Unless you were one of those sucking from the EU teat, you will prosper.

BriteRainbowBright · 24/06/2016 05:16

Stunning result, am so pleased, finally the government HAVE to listen.

Lynnm63 · 24/06/2016 05:16

Recession was coming anyway, this way though we aren't paying for the rest of Europe. Junker told us to play nice that is do as were fucking told or fuck off. Hey ho we've fucked off.

YourPerception · 24/06/2016 05:17

People's true feelings coming out. The people who voted Tory asked for this referendum.

Lynnm63 · 24/06/2016 05:18

Well those of you that don't like democracy no one is making you stay. You can always fuck off somewhere else.

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 05:21

In my constituency we won the vote with 6 committed people doing street stalls every week, a couple of dozen leafletters, of whom some only leafletted their own street, and 2 cars out today with a hired megaphone

This was our overdue popular uprising.

Topseyt · 24/06/2016 05:21

Terrible day.

In time I will lose 2 DDs over this as they don't want to deal with the consequences.

What are we doing leaving this legacy for our young people. They clearly said they didn't want it.

People just voted blindly like sheep.

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 05:22

You are very wrong. My children are young people who were sensible enough to believe in democracy. They voted OUT.

antimatter · 24/06/2016 05:22

Government will tighten belts at expenses of everyone. At the same time privatising everything right left and center. How would they listen if they are in majority anyway?

MiracletoCome · 24/06/2016 05:23

Voted out here, so pleased

LilySnape · 24/06/2016 05:25

Im suprised at the amount of scathing venomous remainers this morning what vicious personal attacks left right and centre Hmm

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 05:27

Government will tighten belts at expenses of everyone.

It would have had to anyway as the debt mountain we are leaving tour children was increasing This £350million a week was borrowed money that your children will pay back.

At the same time privatising everything right left and center.
Quite the opposite. He will hands his hands full on EU exit and no spare capacity to privatise anything for a long time - unlike the EU that will forge ahead with TTIP.

How would they listen if they are in majority anyway?

Bypassing your elected Government because they are not doing what YOU want and running to the EU is not democratic - as the majority of people in the country have just acknowledged.

MuggleWuggle · 24/06/2016 05:29

Dumbfounded. I am deeply saddened to be living in a country where so many have such a narrow and insular view. This is a huge step back for the UK economically and socially. A completely depressing day.

helpbuyingahouse · 24/06/2016 05:29

Ok, if this is Project Fear and everything is all right, why is sterling down 10%. Why are the equity markets in free fall?

Those equity markets will pay your pensions in year to come.

Britain is the fifth largest global economy BECAUSE we have these companies here. If they go, we will not be the 5th large economy any more.it is as simple as that, what is there to understand?

If sterling is still down 10% (probably more) in 6 months, will the leave camp offer an apology? No, they will blame DC for something or the other.

I am not one to insult people, but Leavers please go away and start thinking about the enormous mistake you made when you put that cross in the box

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 05:30

I am surprised that the Remain politicians, BBC and Sky are still peddling Project Fear.

This is a time when the verdict of the Bristish people should be acknowledged and for starting to look ahead at the future.

So Cameron had no Plan B. Get rid of the idiot before he does any more damage, such as triggering Article 50. The official Leave campaign said triggering Article 50 may not be necessary.

To trigger Article 50 now would be Cameron's last vindictive act and leave a salt earth policy.

PotatoHats · 24/06/2016 05:31

I am gutted. A terrible day for the UK.

A Facebook soon-to-be-ex friend was saying 'my grandfather fought in the war so that Britain could be free' - actually, her grandfather fought so that Europe could be free.
The EU was formed so he and his descendants would never have to fight again.

And now this, this rejection of Europe lead by the braying fool that is Farage and the political animal who is Boris. I hope f*cking the economy was worth it so that he could get a shot at being PM Angry

Pangurban1 · 24/06/2016 05:32

Jeez, listening to Angela Leadsom's 'expertise'. When pushed by Kamal Ahmed. Bank of England needs to use tools at it's disposal. When pushed, just repeating about calm and measured. Hasn't a bl**dy clue, but pretends she knows what she is talking about.

I wonder if exchange rates cost would have been less than the 10% if people had moved their money from sterling yesterday.

tripletrouble · 24/06/2016 05:34

"So angry that this decision was left to the people "
So, Borogoves, do you not believe in democracy?!

Littlegoat123 · 24/06/2016 05:36

Completely Cameron's fault and I'm sure many many people voted no due to immigration. Cameron knows that's an issue to a lot of people and it should have been more clearly addressed to give people confidence, instead, people have used this vote to say no as an outlet for their anger in the immigration matter.
People's lack of knowledge in the vote, and fear of terror have made this a no victory, poor show by our leaders not to have reassured people that they are listening to everyday concerns....and this is what happens....may the force be with us all Sad

Spinflight · 24/06/2016 05:36

Well done Britain.

I am truly proud of you.

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 05:37

Cameron brought this on himself by trying to gerrymander and use Project Fear and Project Smear. You would not believe the visceral hatred of the man - from even his own side.

If Cameron has walked away from that ridiculous discussion with Juncker and Tusk at which he was seen pleading for basic concessions, he would have had the country almost totally behind him.

The PM has proved he is totally out of touch with the British people. He should have spent 30 minutes at out street stall on the high street and learnt the depth of feeling against the EU. He should also have realised the fear - real fear he caused amongst elderly and vulnerable people threatening to empty theri purses in that hideous poster he put out. Evil stuff.

Gisela Stuart calling for cross party cooperation on Brexit and repeating her words in German. That is statesmanlike - Cameron will go down as worst ever British PM - a liar from the minute he took office.

LilySnape · 24/06/2016 05:38

Suck it up remain camp you were goady and too self confident this entire election and look what happened. Just drop it

NightWanderer · 24/06/2016 05:41

I'm excited to see what happens now. I do believe that Britain will recover and ultimately end up stronger for this vote and no, I'm not a bigot or stupid.

I think the Remainers are very angry at the moment, so I'm not posting on FB or anything like that. Too many raw emotions. I would prefer not see see Farage though. I don't feel this is a victory for him. I voted despite Farage not because of him, twat.
